Sowing seeds for autumn and winter / 秋冬に向けての種まき

I spent much of this summer taking part in a residency program, so my balcony, garden, and Hive have been a little neglected. This week, I’m finally settling back into life at home.
On my way back from the garden today, I picked up a few seeds I was missing and sowed some vegetables for autumn and winter. A gardening day!
Especially in the garden, when I sow seeds directly, quite a lot of plants seem to disappear — maybe the animals eat them, maybe they get overwhelmed by other plants, or maybe I simply forget where I sowed them ... 😅 So although it takes a little extra work, I’ve been starting them as seedlings first.
I’m still wondering what to do on the balcony. I’ll probably do what I usually do ... scattering lamb’s lettuce and purslane seeds around.
Today I sowed eight kinds of vegetables: Chinese cabbage, spinach, a radish mix, turnips, striped beets, pak choi, daikon radish, and Shungiku (edible chrysanthemum). I’d like to sow a few more things, and once autumn arrives, I’m planning to plant spring-flowering bulbs and garlic as well.
This year, I’d love to keep visiting the garden through autumn and winter and hopefully harvest some vegetables along the way.

この夏はレジデンシープログラムに参加して、バルコニーや庭、Hiveがご無沙汰気味でした。今週からようやく家に落ち着いて、今日は庭に行った帰り道に足りない種を買って、秋冬野菜の種をまきました。ガーデニングデー、いいですね！
特に庭では種をまいても動物に食べられてしまうのか、他の植物に負けてしまうのか、私が種まいたことを忘れてしまうのか・・・ということで、一手間かかりますが、苗を作っています。バルコニーはどうしようかな、また例年通り、ラムズレタスと滑莧をふりかけのようにまくことになりそうです 💦
今日種をまいたのは、白菜、ほうれん草、ラディッシュのミックス、かぶ、しましまビーツ、パクチョイ、大根、春菊の8種類。あともうちょっとまきたして、秋に入ったら春の花の球根とにんにくを植える予定です。今年は秋冬にも庭に通って野菜がとれたらいいなと思っています。
はてさてどうなるでしょう。北半球のみなさん、秋冬はガーデニングをしますか？
