The Old Fence

Published on HivePostify by @alexanderfluke · Mon Aug 31 2026

It’s not that I’m particularly fond of crawling through bushes with a camera, but I couldn’t resist this old fence.

It was crooked, cracked, and covered in moss. The sun and rain had done their work long ago, but that was exactly what caught my attention. Up close, the wood was surprisingly beautiful: cracks, moss, traces of time — somehow, it all looked more interesting than it had any right to.

The fence, obviously, was in no hurry. It had been standing there for long enough and could easily wait another couple of minutes while I experimented with different angles.

In the end, I got a few shots of an old fence. That, after all, was why I went into the bushes.
