Jesus encountered the same strategies the devil used against Adam and Eve: The desires of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life [Genesis 3: 1; Matthew 4: 1 – 4]. Satan’s tactics are predictable but while Adam and Eve failed, Jesus overcame, filled with the Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
When we align ourselves with the Word, prayer, fasting and close fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we align ourselves with God’s power to overcome temptation and the enemy.
No matter what challenges you face today, take heart: Jesus has already overcome the devil, He knows your struggles and He faithfully advocates for you before the Father. Every challenge you face is designed to strengthen you and through the Holy Spirit, victory is guaranteed.
