While some participants believed hard work is essential, others emphasized the importance of opportunity, luck, and networking. The conversation showed that success is often influenced by a combination of preparation, timing, and the willingness to recognize and act on opportunities when they arise.

JUNGLE JUSTICE

People do wrong and commit acts that are unacceptable under the law. What's expected when people commit crimes is punishment. And the nature or extent of punishment is dependent on the kind of crime or wrong done.
When duly punished, it's called justice. In every functional society and country at large, there are laws to ensure crimes are punished and justice served for every wrong done, through the appropriate authorities. What happens when people take laws into their hands? When they enforce jungle justice?
Discussion Questions
- Have you witnessed any case of jungle justice? If you have, how did you feel about it? - Do you think jungle justice is justifiable? If not all cases, are there particular ones that justify it? - What do you think are the causes of jungle justice? - What measures can be put in place to prevent or discourage jungle justice? - Is jungle justice indeed justice? How do you balance that with the rule of law and fundamental human rights?
