A Cup of Tea | LMAC Freestyle

I've always felt that being calm doesn't necessarily mean being somewhere completely quiet and peaceful. Sometimes, maybe peace is simply about finding a little room to breathe when everything around us feels like it's falling apart. And that's more or less the idea I had in mind when I made this collage.
Oh, and actually, this collage isn't entirely a new idea. I was looking through some of my older collages and found one that used a few of the same elements. So I decided to recreate it, then changed a few things to see what it would look like if I gave the old piece a little bit of new life.
And... somehow, the final result looks like a dragon has just caused a huge mess. Everything feels so dramatic. But then there's this little rabbit sitting in the foreground. Just sitting there. Enjoying a warm cup of tea. Reading the newspaper. As if nothing is happening at all.
Honestly, I really like that part.
I've always enjoyed putting two things together that seem completely opposite. Something big and chaotic on one side, and something simple and peaceful on the other. Because sometimes, life feels a little like that too, doesn't it?
So many things happening at once. There are problems to think about, work that isn't finished, things that didn't go the way we planned... and somehow, in the middle of all that, we still need to eat, we still need to sleep, we still need to sit down for a moment. Maybe even make ourselves a cup of tea. It doesn't mean we're ignoring all our problems. We're just giving ourselves a little time to breathe before facing them again.
And maybe that's what I wanted to say with this collage. We can't always stop the chaos happening around us. But at the very least, we can choose to sit down for a moment.
Take a breath. Enjoy our tea. Read one page of the newspaper. And then slowly figure out what we need to do next.
Because maybe peace isn't about making the world stop falling apart.
Maybe...
peace is being able to enjoy a cup of tea, even when the world is burning behind you.
