Hello, nature-loving friends! It is a pleasure to greet you and wish you an excellent, blessed week. Today, I’m sharing my journey along the Cumaná–Puerto La Cruz highway, a route distinguished by beautiful coastal scenery and the presence of Mochima National Park. Traveling this road offers the chance to admire incredible seascapes and the coastal mountain range, with spectacular views all along the way. My trip through the area began very early in the morning; in some of the photos, you can see the mist clinging to the mountains before the sun fully broke through.
Leaving Cumaná and passing the first stretch of the Antonio José de Sucre Highway, you reach the aforementioned park, which offers lovely roadside views. Highlights include various beaches and the town of Mochima—which shares its name with the park—as well as other beaches accessible via boat tours offered by locals. The area also features lodging, restaurants, and services for diving and other water activities. As we traveled along this beautiful highway, we made several stops to admire the scenery and take photos. The view is enchanting, with surroundings that blend the beautiful blue of the sky and sea with abundant surrounding vegetation, creating a landscape that invites you to enjoy the warm waters. The road and its side routes are generally lined with trees on both sides, offering views of mountains, dense vegetation, and the beach; the following photo shows a view of the mountains and the winding curves that characterize this area.

Hola, hola amigos amantes de la naturaleza, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan una excelente y bendecida semana, en esta ocasión les comparto mi recorrido por la carretera nacional Cumaná Puerto la Cruz, la cual destaca por los hermosos paisajes costeros y la psesencia del parque nacional Mochima, si tyransitas esta vía tiene la oportunidad de apreciar increíbles paisajes marinos y la el sistema montañoso de la costa con sus espectaculares vistas a lo largo del trayecto, mi recorrido por esta zona inició en horas de la mañana, muy temprano, en algunas imágenes, no se observa la incidencia del sol y algunas vistas de la niebla en la montaña.
Saliendo desde Cumaná y luego de pasar el primer tramo de la autopista Antonio José de Sucre se ubica el mencionado parques que ofrece lindas vistas desde la carretera, destacando varias playas y el pueblo Mochima donde se encuentra la homónima y otras que se pueden visitar realizando un paseo en bote, en los paquetes que ofrecen los lugareños, además cuenta con servicio de hospedaje, resturante, buceo y servicio de comida y buceo entre otras actividades acuáticas; mientras avanzábamos por esta hermosa carretera hicimos varias paradas, para observar el paisaje y tomar algunas fotografías, la vista es encantadora y el entorno combina el hermoso azul del cielo, el agua del mar y numerosas plantas alrededor, creando un hermoso paisaje que invita a disfrutar estas cálidas aguas, la carretera y transversales por lo general están cubiertas con árboles a ambos lados, a lo largo de ellas se observa la presencia de la montaña, la espesa vegetación y la playa, en la siguiente fotografía tenemos una vista de la montaña y las curvas que caracterizan a esta zona.
Like several others along Venezuela's coast, this road stands out for its beautiful scenery; as you travel along it, you can take in incredible views of the beach, the mountains, and the beautiful blue sea. Mochima National Park covers a large part of this route—extending all the way to the city of Puerto la Cruz—and features a pier with departures to various islands within the park.
As we made our way, we stopped several times to admire the beautiful landscape, the stunning mountain views, and the vastness of the sea. As I mentioned earlier, the road is very winding; one of the photos captures one of these curves, showing the mountain to one side, the surrounding vegetation, and the bend in the road. Vegetation is lush in this part of the country, and on certain stretches, you might encounter mist and feel the chill if you travel in the morning or afternoon.
Esta carretera, al igual que varias ubicadas en la zona costera de Venezuela, destaca por sus hermosos paisajes, mientras transitas puedes observar las increíbles vistas de la playa, la montaña y el hermoso mar azul, el parque nacional Mochima abarca gran parte de este recorrido, incluso se extiende hasta la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz, allí hay un muelle con salidas a varias Islas ubicadas en el mencionado parque.
Mientras avanzábamos hicimos varias pausas para observar el hermoso paisaje, las increíbles vistas de la montaña y la inmensidad del mar, como lo mencioné anteriormente en esta zona hay muchas curvas y en una de las fotografías podemos apreciar una de ellas; se ve la montaña hacia un lado, parte de la vegetación y la curva, en esta zona del país la vegetación es abundante y en varios tramos puedes observar neblina y sentir frío si viajas en la mañana o la tarde.
For beach and nature lovers, this stretch of road is perfect; along the route, one finds numerous beaches, coastal towns, and beautiful natural scenery. One thing that caught my eye was the color of the water: in the early morning, it is a grayish-blue, but as the day progresses, it shifts through various shades—turquoise and blue, among others—eventually settling into a stunning, intense blue that contrasts beautifully with the green mountains, the rocks, and the clear sky. Touring this area was a wonderful experience—seeing the beautiful beaches and connecting with nature. There is nothing more relaxing than unplugging from the stress and fast pace of city life to immerse oneself in a natural setting and admire the incredible landscapes nature offers us.
Para los amantes de la playa y la naturaleza, este tramo vial es perfecto, a lo largo del trayecto se encuentran muchas playas, pueblos costeros y hermosos paisajes en un entorno natural, algo que llamó mi atención fue el color del agua , en las primeras horas de la mañana es un azul grisáceo y a medida que avanza el día, va tomando otros colores, turquesa, azul, entre otros, hasta llegar a un color azul muy bonito e intenso, que contrasta con la verde montaña, las rocas y el cielo despejado; fue una linda experiencia recorrer esta zona, ver las hermosas playas y disfrutar el contacto con la naturaleza, nada más relajante que desconectarse del estrés y dinamismo en la ciudad, en un entorno natural observando los increíbles paisajes que la naturaleza nos regala.
