Boring Background
I'm Blingit. An Aussie SAHM who spends my life at the ballet studio with my kids. After a hand injury i find many crafty things quite difficult, so i have simply adapted what i do. Pen and paper is much more difficult that small paint brushes and the Apple ipen and procreate. So i do that.
Today's picture is
Painted in Procreate and my ipad.
I was copying a sketch layer and using a monoline brush that i modified from procreate to have a little more stability and to sort of smooth over the lines a little bit. I find having the extra smoothing on VERY helping in general, and also with my hand.
I work in layers. so background first. i try and draw the shapes whole. and then i can remove sections as needed. Just in case i need to move a figure its easier to just uncover a background area, rather than redrawing it. it ALSO means if i need the background for a different shape i can, without redrawing the whole thing,
makes things much easier.
I am planning on a whole colouring book around dance with an Australian theme of little dancing koalas at a dance school called KDC. Koala Dance centre. I have plenty of testers at the studio :-)
I will also be uploading printables. I AM a bit behind with these uploads into Etsy... but will get there soon. PROCREATE TIPS
Did you know? i was not aware (after years of Procreate use) that if you want to Procreate makes an AMAZING timelapse video of your drawing. you can just export the WHOLE think in like 5 clicks. its amazing. If you want to know. Happy to add the details. I just feel that maybe everyone knows and im the slow coach to the party. But seriously this is just such and awesome little tip.

And YES this IS my work. the drawing is 100% MINE. NOT Ai... and the coloured version is my flat colours and then run through a cleaner, So was helped by a program. NOT drawn by it. Just declaring that assistance as colourizing in procreate is not my speciality. lol
