DAILY PAINTING in the Studio - Brisbane Australia - Sky Study

TODAY IN THE STUDIO
Today dawns a crystal clear bright blue hot day here in SE Queensland. Spring is over. Its now totally summer! Although we are expected a cooler week next week. The solar is pumping in the KWH, its 08:30am and we are already not only OFF the battery, but excess solar is streaming into the battery.
Its a ballet morning, as always so i am kid-wrangling and getting them ready for dancing.
However i decided that i would do a few strokes on this little daily painting. I believe i have painted this before. But i wanted to change up the sky.
I also thought i would show you around the Studio a touch. Aka... the front room that is where i paint and create.
Today's Painting is Today's painting.... Ground: Canvas Panel Paint: acrylic Colours: the usual. with dioxazine.. i don't always use so much of this.. but sometimes... Time: meh... approx an hour
Usual suspects for the process
SUPER simple purple sky - Then simple dark clouds and then some lights.
sillouette city stops the need for detail... making this super fast to paint. that and... well it didn't take long as i have done one very similar before.. lol
The lack of photos is due to child number 2 using my phone... lol.. and i forgot...
however you can see above that i managed a couple late stage in the painting before i added the lighter yellow.
AROUND THE STUDIO / front living room that got taken over
as you can see.... i have an... well its an odd little area to paint in. On top of a whole heap of boxes... HOWEVER. It actually works quite well as i like standing. Rather than being at the desk. and i can't have these on an easel. I DO have one. its just in the garage. lol. the big paintings i actaully either put up here or i sit on the floor.
Yes its a bit of a mess at the moment. but at least the floor isn't covered in crap.
we need to redecorate in here.
In a couple of the photos you can see my husbands drawings. They are all the knights and war demons and things.
Do excuse the drawings my kids drew on the walls as well. Hopefully you can tell who did what :-)

The Day anyway i still need to unpack a new printer and i AM IN THE PROCESS of tidying up in here. or rather reorganizing. moving around a few things. I needed to get the paper sorted for my card printing and colouring pages and things. it was annoying having all the specialty papers NOT next to the printer so i would have to get up and walk over the room to get a sheet of sticker paper or card. So sorting that and got distracted. The usual story.
Anyway i had better get a move on. more to do today.
Have another dance run shortly (already done one while i was posting this)
