--- To be fair, the CCP blocks news about any disaster or catastrophe in China. Of course, Tibet is a particularly sensitive area. But no matter where in China, you will rarely find any disaster with more than 29 victims confirmed. It is often a safe bet to say that at least 10 times more people died than the CCP admits.

--- This is something many Western journalists don't seem to understand. It's about capacity, not actual electricity generation. Many solar farms are not even connected to the grid. And then there is also the fact that the official number of around 50% for coal is also probably an underestimate. To make China look better.

--- Es geht um die installierte Leistung, um die Kapazität. Nicht um die eigentliche Stromerzeugung. Selbst nach offiziellen chinesischen Angaben stammen noch immer um die 50% der chinesischen Stromerzeugung aus Kohle. Der tatsächliche Anteil dürfte noch höher liegen.
