Just like that, the NFL preseason is done and teams are starting to lock in their rosters for the regular season. If I were still into fantasy football like I used to be, this wouldn't have come as such a surprise to me. I feel like we just got started with the few preseason games, and now here we are getting ready for week 1 of the NFL season.
That's right, in just seven or eight short days the NFL regular season kicks off.
Crazy!
Meanwhile, let's take a look back at preseason week three to see what happened with all of your favorite and not so favorite teams.
The Lions had a nice win over the Colts 25 to 16, which doesn't matter much, but it is still nice to see the Lions get a win. I hope they can continue to do that when the regular season starts!
The Bills beat the Steelers 28 to 27 in a regional showdown, while The Browns took down the Patriots 37 to 13. The 49er's handled the Raiders 18 to 12, and the Rams had a big 20 to 18 win over the Chargers. The Ravens absolutely throttled the Commanders 41 to 3, and the Falcons edged past the Dolphins 17 to 12.
The Panthers beat the Texans 16 to 13, The Giants beat the Jets 23 to 6, and the Jaguars shut out the Buccaneers 19 to 0. Those are some interesting scores given how good the Bucs looked last year. Hopefully this is just a case of them not playing their starters an the regular season will look much different.
Meanwhile, it's kind of sad to see the Jets continue to struggle. They are like the Colorado Rockies of the NFL world. Just sad.
The Saints beat the Cowboys 27 to 24, The Packers sent the Cardinals packing 42 to 38, and the Chiefs ended up wiht a 9 to 9 tie against the Seahawks.
The Bengals beat the Eagles 30 to 13, The Broncos took down the Vikings 34 to 6, and the Bears closed out the week iwth a 24 to 15 win over the Titans.
As much as I want the Lions to take their division this year, I wouldn't be sad to see the Bears do well. Just as long as it isn't the Packers or the Vikings. I can't stand either of them.
