Gold or Bitcoin, Which Is the Safer Bet?

The stock market is in a bubble, it is set to crash. The real estate market is in a super-bubble, it is going to crash and never recover. The bond market is in a bubble, its just going to vaporize. The fiat currencies, including the dollar are set to hyperinflate to keep the above assets seem like they are going up.
More and more people are realizing this… well, they are getting scared by wars, and rumors of wars… and they are looking to precious metals or cryptos as a safe place to put their money.
So, is it appropriate to ask, if it is better to invest in gold or bitcoin? Or is it more apropos to say, what is your thoughts on allocation?
Another question may be to ask, is there anything else, besides precious metals and bitcoin? What safe bets are there, when everything we have known, the entire financial system is about to come crashing down?
Gold, Grub, Ground & Guns
These are the 4Gs that are a must for survival. However, these were more appropriate for the times of the wild west. Their worth is not straight forward in this modern era, and, may not be at all helpful in the Age of Aquarius.
Gold - the epitome of money, well, at least for the last thousand years in the western world. And, if we were discussing local trade, it may indeed still be. However, crypto can be sent world-wide. And, it is really a tossup about which is accepted more right now.
Grub - is the real wealth. If you don't have enough, your are in real trouble. If you have more than enough it can usually be bartered. I really suggest you have a month worth of food stored.
Ground - Specifically, it is land that you can farm, defend, live, raise children and goats. If it is not all of these, it really does not count as ground. Your suburban 3 br, 2 bath house with no back yard is not ground.
Guns - This one is seriously going to change. But, for now, it means long range hole punchers. You will need to learn to defend yourself. But, do not let your jaw fall off, if we end up turning to trebuchets and/or phasers.
The 4Gs still hold meaning, but what the name of that meaning will be changing.
Will gold be money? be valuable in the future?
This is a really big question. And all i have are half-answers.
The people who think that gold is EXTREMELY valuable are the banksters. Rots-childs has such a pile of gold that they could sell to jewellers at $20 an ounce for decades, maybe centuries. (imagine that. In some dark vault, there is enough gold already mined that we have no need to mine any more for a century)
If the banks suddenly went away, gold may not be worth enough for people to dig it out of the bunker the banksters hid it in. Most investors, the current gold bugs, have OUNCES, but the banks record their holdings in tons. If the banksters and banks they control went away, what would happen to the price of gold?
In the future, gold is found to be a very poor money. It fails all the tests of "indicators of future money". We become a much more interconnected world, with transactions and shipments from everywhere to everywhere. Crypto handles payments easily. Gold doesn't. And will be discarded as a monetary metal.
Right now, and these next ten years, will probably see gold go up and up and up in price as people are looking for a safe place to put their money. There is still enough gold bugs to keep the people thinking about gold.
The problem may come when trying to sell, when gold is $10,000 an ounce. Who do you sell it to? Do the coin shops start carrying that kind of cash? Of course, there will probably be vans that drive around to your house, or park in front of grocery stores waiting for you to sell your precious metals. Just do not be surprised if you sell your gold for Kroger-bucks, or some other form of grocery store certificate.
Will bitcoin be money? Will crypt be valuable?
Again, this answer is, "it depends" on when. Where in the cycle of adoption are we.
We are not looking at very much time before bitcoin is over a million per. But, in the same breath, how much milk will a million dollars buy?
Bitcoin will take over as the backing for the financial system. But when?
Bitcoin will go over a million, and then, probably before 10 million, you just can't buy it. You can trade your car for some. Your yacht for some more. Your house… maybe, if there is someone that still wants it.
In the future, everything will be priced in bitcoin, in satoshis. Will the bitcoin now, be the bitcoin then? Maybe. I should say probably, most likely. At least you can jump to the new fork as things shift.
But, really, bitcoin will become the money of the rich. When corporations send payments to each other, especially cross borders, it will be done with bitcoin. When countries pay each other, it will be in bitcoin. However, when the big boys get all in bitcoin, the price will become a lot more stable. And prices will start appearing in satoshis.
Whether any other crypto goes along for the ride, it is impossible to say. My gut feelings are chains like BitcoinCash, Litecoin, and even Doge will be the places actual transfers occur for any medium purchases. We will see lightning networks and/or cross-chain networks that make sending whatever you have for whatever they want, easy.
I do not know what happens to Ethereum. There are chances that it gets all locked up, and becomes a bankster token. They are trying to buy up all the mining.
Again, the whole thing is about timing. We will be using crypto to buy and sell things. But when?
How much longer will gold be considered a monetary metal?
Right now, gold and bitcoin are far better places to put your money than in a bank, in the stock market, in housing, or bonds. All of those financial pieces instruments are going to go foop.
The only thing is how well will gold or bitcoin do over the time frame you are looking.
Gold will probably be over $10,000 an ounce here shortly. But, similarly, bitcoin will be over $1,000,000 a token here shortly.
Gold is physical, and then again, gold is physical and heavy. There is a lot of safety in knowing exactly where you gold is, and that you can put your hands on it.
Bitcoin is not physical, at least not yet. And there are a lot of growing curves involved in crypto. However, it will be the money of the future.
The thing is, that both of these assets will do better than ALL of the banksters' financial instruments.
They will do so much better, that you will be saying, (in today's terms) "Oh shucks, i could have had 9.8 million dollars instead of this measly 3.5 million"
So, learn about both. And allocate what you can into each. You will be financial set in the future. But keep an eye on the market. There is an end to golds valuable-ness. And, if you are holding the wrong "bitcoin" you can literally lose everything. So, do not just buy it and forget it.
