Today's mission is called "Smoke Over the Water." Bayek needs to locate a fish merchant named Amosis, who is a close friend of Jeska. Jeska was a trusted agent of Harkaouf, tasked with secretly smuggling people out of the city to safety. But reports indicated that soldiers had captured and killed her. Bayek now hopes to meet Amosis.
Bayek set out on his journey. Since Amosis was a fish seller, it was assumed she would be found by the riverside or at the boat landing. It turned out she was selling fish at a dock on the other side of the river. Rather than taking a long route, Bayek decided to cross the river directly using a small boat.
As he traveled along the river, the beautiful scenery around him caught his eye. Even the distant city looked magnificent from the middle of the river. So, he paused for a while and took a few beautiful photos.
While in the middle of the river, he saw a crocodile attacking a boat. Bayek turned his boat around and rushed to help them. But before he could arrive, the crocodile had killed everyone on the boat.
Then, the crocodile charged at Bayek's boat. But that was its biggest mistake. Bayek drew his bow, fired a few arrows, and killed the crocodile. He then jumped into the water to harvest its hide, as it is useful for upgrading various weapons and gear.
Finally, Bayek crossed the River and headed towards the dock. There, he once again used his trusted eagle, Sinu, to locate Amosis. Soaring through the sky, Sinu quickly pinpointed Amosis's exact location.
Bayek approached her, mentioned Jeska, and asked for assistance. He explained that after Jeska's death, Harkhuf needed a new trusted associate. But just then, Amosis shared a news that took Bayek by surprise. He said that Jeska was not dead.
She somehow managed to escape the soldiers and return alive. She delivers food and essential supplies to various ships via the river. However, the route she uses is dangerous, as the area is full of hippopotamuses. Amosis suggested that Bayek go to the river to find Jeska and assist her. In return, Jeska would help Bayek by providing crucial information.
