Splinterlands Guild Brawl and a chance battle with Hugo Strongsword

Greetings HIVEees and Splinterfwens. Another Splinterlands Guild Brawl was concluded and here I am again sharing experience of the previous brawl. Hoping that you guys are having a great time with your life right and enjoying what you are doing right now. Rain still is pouring here in our area which is already nearly a month now. Water is already damaging things here and the only thing can be done right now aside from praying is just greet our teeth and move on. Life cannot be paused with such set backs. Well, that's just life is. Anyways, Splinterlands Guild brawls for this round is a bit tough for me. Let's see how we ended with this Splinterlands Guild Brawl.
With 8 battles on my Fray, I ended up winning 5 and loosing 3 with my opponents. A bit low with my previous performance with the past guild brawls. Most of my lost came from Quora with mine being restricted. Too bad. But still, I am on positive gains since I have more wins than losses.
It seems my performance was being covered by my guildmates and we grab the first place with our tier. Its really nice to have such good matey's!
Saved enough merit points to buy 3 gladius cases. Still continuing to mint cards for my gladiator collections. You should never miss this chance to accumulate freebies.
The result of my pack opening is quiet decent. Even though no gold foils or legendary are minted, I am still having cards that are good to level up and gain additional ability that are useful in the process.
Battle Sample with Hugo Strongsword
In Splinterlands Guild brawl, having a biased attitude to your cards is a reason that you cannot avoid. There sure are others that will just being accumulated and not that much battle exposure as part of your team and of course, there are cards that will fill your battle activities on your profile. Your star cards. Hugo Strongsword is one card that I am not so fond of using. Currently having a level 3 gold foil of this card is really a good part of my card power collection but it is not much of use with battles. It is really soo little hance to use this card with my team and current collection since i am much fond of using Death , Fire or Water Splinters. Hugo belong to life splinters and I am a bit low with this type of splinters. But don't get me wrong. I believed that a balance in this game exists and there is just players preference with their collection.
So how did I chose Hugo Strongsword as part of my team? Here is the condition that made me use it. Rulesets for this battle are Tis But Scratches and Counterspell with a 41 Mana capacity limit battle. Also, only Life and Death splinters are available for use. This sets of rules already remove Death splinters as my choice because of the Counterspell presence. With Death splinters magic attacking cards collection as my primary offense, I wouldn't keep my hopes up with this unfair rules to my cards. So with that, I am going to use Life Splinters as my team. Hugo Strongsword is a Low to Medium mana tank that I guess possess a decent stats. Also that shield ability is a good type of counter for this incoming battle. Having the attack efficiency of my opponent's team halved is a good sign for victory. Paprikash on the second that possess the reach ability while having a melee attacking damage followed by Wild Horse Tamer and Vengeful Monk that is having an opportunity ability. Completing my team will be Ala'n Musketeer and Grand Consul Minion respectively. My team composed of Melee and Range attacking units as my offense. Not using a magic attacking monster is really inappropriate.
The battle is already getting visible of who will win in just round 2. Although Hugo Strongsword also croaked in this round of battle, Its tanking capability is already proved its worth and help my team to gain the upper hand to achieve victory.
- Having idle cards in splinterlands is really not a bad thing. It is just you need to time to when to use it in the battles or others splinterlands activities.
