Making Tiny Roses Earring | Tutorial

Hello everyone! It’s been so long, I think I even forgot how to do this. Still, that won’t stop me from bringing you a brand-new tutorial—I'm getting back into crafting again.
Lately, I’ve been needing something to bring me a little joy. And what could make me happier than my favorite flowers? Roses. There’s a lot of talk about making eternal roses in bouquets, but have you ever thought about turning them into accessories? Today I’ll show you how to make mini rose earrings—super, super easy. Let’s go!
First things first…
Materials (˶' ꒳ '˶)
- 2 grosgrain ribbons, 10x1.5 cm - A pair of stud earring bases - Scissors - Hot glue gun - Lighter - And… your hands.
I used this type of ribbon because it’s what I had on hand, but I’m sure they’d look beautiful with satin fabric—so don’t hesitate to try it if you’ve got some!

The process is super simple. First, take one end of the ribbon and fold a small diagonal piece inward. Then, fold the ribbon over itself outward (hope that makes sense!). Finally, fold everything downward like in the last image. I used a tiny dot of hot glue at each step to keep everything secure.

Now comes the trickiest part to explain. We’re going to wrap the ribbon around the base we just made. But as we wrap it, we also fold the ribbon itself—does that make sense?
Fold, wrap, add a dab of hot glue, and repeat.

In the left photo, you can see how the rose looks from underneath, and how the ribbon folds as it wraps around the base. One important thing: I tucked the ribbon slightly downward each time. So instead of wrapping around horizontally, I created a downward spiral. Whew, I hope I’m explaining this well—I swear it’s super easy!
In the second image, I’d already reached the size I wanted. The rose’s size depends on how many wraps you do. You decide whether you want a tiny rosebud or a giant bloom—though I’m not sure how that would look as an earring, hehe.

To finish, first cut off the little stem we used as a base, and lightly burn the tip with the lighter so it doesn’t fray.
Now, with the leftover ribbon, make a fold like in the first image and tuck it underneath. Then trim the excess and glue the remaining end down with hot glue. Don’t forget to seal the tip with the lighter to prevent fraying.

And voilà—our rose is done! But this is just one earring, so let’s repeat the process.

All done! But they’re not earrings yet…

Here’s where the stud earring bases come in. I loved these because they’re shaped like flowers—I actually thought they were earrings, but nope, just the bases hehe.
The little holes help the roses stick better to the base.

Now all we do is add a dot of hot glue to the base of the rose and stick it onto the stud base.
And finally…

...They’re done! I know they might look a little quirky, haha, but roses aren’t perfect either—and that’s what makes them beautiful. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Hola a todos, ha pasado tanto tiempo, que creo que incluso olvide como hacer esto. Sin embargo, eso no evitará que les traiga un nuevo tutorial, me estoy activando con las manualidades de nuevo.
Últimamente, necesitaba algo que me trajera un poco de felicidad, ¿y qué otra cosa podría hacerme más feliz que mis flores favoritas? Las rosas. Mucho se habla de hacer rosas eternas en ramos, ¿pero alguna vez habían pensado en hacerlas como accesorio? Hoy les mostraré como hacer unos zarcillos de mini rositas, muy muy fáciles. ¡Vamos allá!
Primero que todo…
Materiales (˶' ꒳ '˶)
- 2 cintas de grogén de 10x1,5 cm - un par de bases topitos para zarcillos - tijeras - pistola de silicona caliente. - encendedor - y… tus manos.
Yo usé este tipo de cinta porque es el que tenía a la mano, pero seguro que con una tela satinada quedan bellísimos, ¡así que no duden en intentarlo si tienen de esas cintas!

El procedimiento es muy fácil. Primero, vamos a tomar un extremo de la cinta y vamos a doblar un cachito de manera diagonal, hacia dentro. Luego, vamos a doblar la cinta sobre sí misma hacia afuera (espero que se entienda). Y por último, vamos a doblar todo hacia abajo como se ve en la última imagen. Yo usé un pequeño punto de silicona caliente en cada paso para fijar todo bien.

Ahora viene la parte más confusa de explicar de todo esto. Vamos a ir dando vueltas a la cinta alrededor de la base que hicimos anteriormente. Pero, a la vez que damos vuelta alrededor, también damos un doblez a la cinta misma, ¿me explico?
Damos un doblez, envolvemos, ponemos un poco de silicona caliente y repetimos el proceso.
