Short break from the heat

The weather here in the UK has been extremely hot, and it looks like it will continue for some time. Despite that, today was a bit cooler, and so I thought I would make the most of it by going for a nice walk and doing some reading by the lake.
My books-to-read list has spiked recently as I continue to add books to the list and forget to read the ones already on said list. That being said, over the past week I have found more time for reading. I have got into a habit of reading before bed instead of scrolling on my phone, and sometimes for breakfast I will sit and read a couple of pages before starting my day.
