Curator Cat: My Hive Goals for 2026 — Made One Already!

I hope your holiday weekend is going well!
A conference of cats
Ours has been nice and quiet so far, although tomorrow things will ramp up as the Daughter-Hooman and her infant son are arriving for an overnight stay.
The Hoomans are very excited about it, but we cats will likely be hiding, most of the time!

This is actually just intended as a quick extra update because today we managed to pass our 2026 Hive goal of reaching 7,500 Hive Power!
I know I'm still a small fish in these waters, but it's nice to be able to say that something has actually turned out to be possible more quickly than expected!

I'm not planning to reset my goal for this year, but I do plan to continue building my Hive Power balance, and if we get along far enough by the end ofvthe year... then the long term goal of getting to 10,000 Hive Power by the end of 2027 starts to look more and more within the realm of reality.

I prefer to set pretty modest goals that I have a realistic chance of reaching… rather than ridiculously ambitious goals that will most likely leave me feeling bad about myself because I didn't get there.
I think that also makes sense from the perspective that our participation here on Hive is supposed to be fun, not some kind of drudgery grind! We cats don't like having to work a lot!

Part of the reason for modest goals has to do with the fact that most of the time this little account runs on just one post a week for Caturday on Saturday.
