Que alegría me da poder compartir mis recuerdos en este [Concurso TBT una foto una historia un día de jueves esos 13 de agosto](https://peakd.com/hive-192096/@lanzjoseg/concurso-tbt-una-foto-una-historia-un-dia-de-esos-jueves-13-de-agosto) al que nos invita nuestro estimado amigo @lanzjoseg y que nos brinda la oportunidad de hacer memoria de momentos que marcaron nuestra línea de vida. En esta ocasión les comparto las imágenes de la misa de cuando mis gemelos se graduaron de bachiller, ese día marcó el inicio de una temporada muy linda, fue el comienzo de los sueños, de las metas por cumplir, de fraguarse los objetivos en la vida, de esperar la universidad, de seguir escalando las etapas de vida y nosotros como padres acompañándolos... es emocionante ese momento de vida. Nosotros vemos nuestros sueños cumplidos con nuestros hijos, nos imaginamos que ellos crecen, que se desarrollan y este es un punto bastante importante, porque es quemar la etapa de la adolescencia para abrazar la madurez de la Juventud. Ayudarlos a escoger qué es lo que quieren ser, es uno de las responsabilidades como padres, apoyarlos a que ellos clarifiquen qué es lo que quieren hacer en su vida, la carrera que quieren escoger, la profesión que quieren ejercer, según la vocación que ellos tengan. Hacerles ver a los hijos, que lo que van a estudiar es la profesión que ellos van a ejercer durante su vida y tiene que ser algo que a ellos les agrade, que les guste, hacer un trabajo según la vocación que ellos tengan, porque no hay nada más desagradable que ejercer una profesión a la que no estamos ligados emocionalmente. Por eso digo que es el comienzo de Una aventura, porque se comienzan a explorar todas las facetas, para ver qué es lo que más les gusta hacer a tus muchachos; por lo menos a mí me marcó, porque económicamente no podía pagarle la licenciatura en comunicación social a mi hija, Marina, aunque ella cuenta con el perfil perfecto y ella siente la vocación para servir en esa profesión, pero la traba fue que es muy cara la carrera, porque solo la dictan en universidad privada, así que optamos por el trabajo social, que también es algo que se le da muy bien y que ella a pesar de tener ciertos recelos, una vez que entró en carrera le fascinó quedó prendada del trabajo social; en cuanto al gemelo varón, Oswaldo, quería informática y se presentó la oportunidad que lo aceptaron fue en ingeniería electrónica, así que lo llevé a varias partes para que hablara con profesionales del área y le explicaran los que hacían los graduados en esta carrera, que conociera el panorama profesional y le gustó, le gustó lo que estaba escuchando, así que continúo con esta carrera, ya está en el segundo término y se siente contento. Es súper importante que a ellos les gusten lo que están estudiando y sepan lo que van a hacer.

On this occasion, I’m sharing photos from the Mass held when my twins graduated from high school. That day marked the start of a truly beautiful chapter—it was the beginning of dreams, of goals to achieve, of setting life’s objectives, of looking forward to college, of continuing to climb the stages of life, and of us, as parents, accompanying them along the way… it’s such an exciting time in life.
We see our dreams come true through our children; we imagine them growing up and developing—and this is a very important point—because it means moving past adolescence to embrace the maturity of young adulthood. Helping them choose what they want to be is one of our responsibilities as parents—supporting them as they clarify what they want to do with their lives, the career path they want to choose, and the profession they want to pursue, based on their calling. We need to help our children realize that what they’re going to study is the profession they’ll practice throughout their lives, and it has to be something they enjoy and are passionate about—a job that aligns with their calling—because there’s nothing more unpleasant than practicing a profession to which we aren’t emotionally connected.That’s why I say it’s the beginning of an adventure—because you start exploring all the different aspects to see what your kids enjoy doing most. At least for me, it was a turning point, because I couldn’t afford to pay for my daughter Marina’s degree in social communication, even though she has the perfect profile and feels a calling to serve in that profession, but the obstacle was that the program is very expensive, since it’s only offered at a private university, so we opted for social work, which is also something she’s very good at, and even though she had some reservations at first, once she started the program she was fascinated—she fell in love with social work; as for her twin brother, Oswaldo, he wanted to study computer science, but the opportunity that came up—and for which he was accepted—was in electronic engineering, so I took him to several places so he could talk to professionals in the field and have them explain what graduates in this field do, so he could get a sense of the career landscape—and he liked it; he liked what he was hearing, so he’s continuing with this major. He’s already in his second semester and is happy. It’s extremely important that they enjoy what they’re studying and know what they’re going to do.
