In Christendom, there is this popular saying that money is the root of all evil. As time goes on in life, we start to find out that it is the love of money, not money itself. And it's because on a very good number of time, money has broken some friendship, brought out some betrayers, created scenario where people stab themselves in the back, all because of money.
The most popular one was Judas Iscariot to Jesus Christ who sold Jesus for 30 shekels of silver. When people hand touch money for the first time, there is no limit to what they can do. Their inner desire, inner ambition, what they already long for, aspire to be, becomes a possibility.
And at that point in time, God save us, we are at the mercy of their imagination. So far they have enough money to bring it to reality, they will. And that's how terrible money can be.
Money is a leverage, money is power, money is influence, money is friend, money brings a lot of things your way. So you can actually change if you have money, a very good amount of money. Money will reveal the best of you to yourself; you will see the worst of yourself in yourself.
Why? Because all those things that you've always wanted to become, achieve, attain in life, now that you have the money and nobody can even stop you and everybody will do yes to you. The sky is not even a limit to the person that has money. A typical example is Elon Musk, he has the billions and the trillions and to send human to space is not a problem.
When you have money, visions, ambitions, revelations, dreams becomes reality. Money doesn't always change people, sometimes it enables you and gives you the permission to become who you already are. People just don't become what they are presently.
It is because as time goes on, they already have something locked up inside of them that when money came, it brought those things to reality. Money can change people's personality and we have seen that in various cases. Even in the African setting, there are stories of black slavery, I mean the time that the white men came to Africa and they took so many Africans as slaves to the white man's land.
It was even money, it was because many of those white men were offering the black people money that they were able to sell off their fellow brothers for slavery. All they just have to do is gather enough weapons which they got from the white men, invade one or two villages, carry slaves from there, then sell them off. Everything still goes back to money.
Money can turn a brother against the other and that's how crazy money can be. Money changes personality. You see some people that they don't even return your calls again and they look down on you and they have become impatient with people who no longer benefit them.
Then they have a completely different definition of importance. Immediately people start to see that in you, they will say that money has changed them. The truth is that yes, money can do such a thing.
There is no limit like I have said earlier. Money is a magnifying glass. If someone is generous before becoming wealthy, wealth may give them the ability to become even more and more generous.
A selfish person before being wealthy will have more ground to be selfish. Whatever is inside of you as a seed, money is the rain. It will rain on it and it will bring it to fruitfulness and when the fruit starts coming out people should not be saying that money has changed them.
No, the seed that is inside that kind of a man is bad itself. It is not the money. It is that the person has a bad notion about life.
You will find it hard to also know who cares about you for real when you have money because everybody will be at your beck and call and you won't even know the real friend from the fake ones. It is only when you are down that you will see the real test of things.
