There are people that have made a lot of bad decisions in life and they know that good decisions and intentions do not automatically produce good fruit.

It is possible for you to want to do something good but the scenario, circumstances and environment will turn that thing to a bad thing right in front of you. Sometimes you mean well but it can turn against you.
A very typical example is the story of Jesus.
There were scenarios in the bible especially in the new testament where he healed a man and the pharisees and the Sadducees are asking him why he decided to heal that man on a sabbath day which was a lords day that it should be for rest. So you see from there Jesus raised and healed someone but the pharisees and the sadducees of that time all their eyes were on was that he broke the sabbath day rule which shouldn't be.
So it is possible for you to make a good decision but your environment does not contribute to that decision being seen as a good one.
There are times that I made a decision and I was very excited. There are times that I made a decision during the time that I was very angry. What I do these days is that before I take any life changing decision I take time to consult myself, sit with it for a long time then pray over it over and over again.
Pressure does make everything feel urgent even when it is not. So be careful not to fall under the pressure of anything. Someone can tell you that you need to decide right now what you are going to do with this.
Take your time. Don't mind anyone telling you that kind of a thing. There are things in life too that happens that makes it look as if everyone is moving ahead of you while you are still at one point.
Don't listen to that kind of ideology. At every point in time in your life take a very good decision and keep moving with it. Don't let anybody box you into a corner and tell you that you need to decide it right now.
Another thing you should ask yourself is: if nobody is watching me will I still make this kind of decision? If you ask yourself this question it will save you a lot of back and forth and taking the wrong decision at every point in time. Because it is from here that we find out that we are not choosing what is best for us we are choosing what will make us look successful, responsible, acceptable and intelligent in the eyes of everyone.
For me as a person following your heart is not something that you should do when you are not a lady.
It is women that follows their heart and they have the right to do that because they are emotional beings. As a grown up man there is nothing you want to do with following your heart. You should be able to think straight and think right at every point in time and that is when you will be able to make a right decision in life.
You really need both logic and emotions. There is also a book that talks about intelligent quotient, emotional quotient and stuff like that. So you have to know when to apply which one at the right time and you will not even do the wrong thing.
A bad decision can become a good teacher if you are willing to study it very well. If you make a bad decision you can sit with it and look through the mistake and learn against the other time because it can actually make you better with time. By the time you have such an issue again at your doorstep you will be able to make a better decision because you have made a bad one in the previous time.
Now is the time to make a right one. Sometimes we make the best decision we can with the information that is available to us and it still did not work out. The goal is not to become someone who never makes mistakes.
The goal is to become someone who makes fewer careless mistakes because experience is teaching us differently from every action that we have taken in time past. Whenever I am faced with life decisions, I let my emotions sit somewhere else. I don't give it the final votes.
It is logic over heart thoughts.
