Post-apocalyptic movies have been very prevalent on various streaming platforms lately, each with its own distinct approach; however, in all of them, the characters must find ways to move forward and survive. That’s where The Dog Constellation comes in. The story begins after a disaster has left the entire world in ruins—a new scenario in which the director takes us to a future devastated by a pandemic. It’s a film filled with fear, tough decisions, and, above all, an adventure to survive one more day in the face of dire circumstances.
The story introduces us to a man who lives in isolation with his dog; they’ve come to realize that after the end of the world, the best way to stay alive is to trust no one. That’s why the film takes us to this empty city and makes us wonder: Is anyone else still alive? Can the city be rebuilt? And many other questions that make the film feel very real—and little by little, things begin to fall into place, including the discovery of what it was like to truly live, rather than merely survive.
>Las películas postapocalípticas últimamente han estado muy presentes en las distintas plataformas, la cual cada una tiene un enfoque distinto, sin embargo, en todas hay que buscar las maneras de avanzar y sobrevivir. Por eso llega la constelación del perro, donde todo parte después de haber ocurrido un desastre que dejó todo el mundo destruido, siendo algo nuevo y aquí el director busca llevarnos a un futuro devastado por una pandemia, siendo una película cargada de mucho miedo, decisiones y sobre todo una aventura para así poder sobrevivir un día más antes las difíciles situaciones.
>La historia nos presenta a un hombre que vive aislado y acompañado por su perro, donde entendieron que después del fin del mundo, la mejor manera de seguir vivo es no confiar en nadie. Por eso la película nos lleva a esa ciudad sin nada y nos hace preguntarnos ¿Quedará alguien más con vida? ¿Se podrá arreglar la ciudad?, y muchas otras cosas que hace que la película se sienta muy real y poco a poco se van resolviendo las cosas, al igual la manera de descubrir cómo era vivir y no simplemente sobrevivir.

Each scene is very well crafted, and even though there are many of them, each one retains that essence. At times, you might think the story could become repetitive, but it doesn’t—because every place explored offers a new chance at life. You can also tell that the world is empty, but not dead. It also maintains that pace, and the film doesn’t turn its protagonists into heroes, but rather into people trying to make it through to the next day alive—and that’s where this post-apocalyptic film truly shines, by making you realize that you have to appreciate what you have.
Another valuable aspect is the characters in this story: despite living in a world where people are scarce, there’s a young woman with a simple personality, full of hopes and, above all, a desire to learn more. On the other hand, there’s a man who’s completely different—practical and convinced that humanity has already proven everything it needed to prove. Even so, the two work very well together and help the story unfold, but in the end, it’s not about what we’d do if the world ended, but rather what we ourselves would be willing to preserve once the world we knew no longer existed.
>Cada una de las escenas están muy bien trabajadas y a pesar de ser muchas cada una mantiene esa esencia y a la vez llegar a pensar que la historia puede llegar a ser repetitiva, pero no porque cada lugar que se explora es una nueva oportunidad para vivir, además se nota que el mundo está vacío, pero no muerto. También mantiene ese ritmo y la película no convierta a sus protagonistas en héroes, sino personas que están intentando llegar vivo al día siguiente y es así donde esta película postapocalíptica sobresale, por el mismo de darte cuenta de que las cosas hay que valorarlas.
>Otras de las cosas valiosas son los personajes de esta historia donde a pesar de estar en un mundo donde las personas son escasas está una joven que su personalidad es sencilla, con ilusiones y sobre todo con las ganas de poder conocer más. Mientras que, por otro lado, está un hombre completamente diferente, práctico y convencido de que la humanidad ya ha demostrado todo lo que tenía que demostrar, aun así los dos funcionan muy bien y hace que la historia crezca, pero que a la final no se trata de que haríamos si el mundo se acabara, si no nosotros mismos estaríamos dispuestos a conservar cuando el mundo que conocíamos ya no existiera.
