best to buy, and in the end I chose Jolius Blast. Knowing that I have plenty of Sparks over 20,000 I am close to buying another card. Therefore, I thought about completing those missing 10,000 Sparks by burning some of my Foundations cards, since as of the update on [2026-08-11](https://docs.splinterlands.com/platform/release-notes/2026#id-2026-08-11), these cards can be burned for Fortune Draw or Sparks. So, I began checking my collection to see which cards I can burn without complicating my battles in Frontier or Survival, where I am currently playing in Bracket I using level 1 Archons from Foundations, specifically focusing on Gold Foil cards that are harder to level up when I already have max-level Regular Foil versions.

Before burning any cards, it is crucial to understand how many Sparks each rarity tier provides. To keep things clear, I created these reference tables:

The value for Gold Foil Legendary cards is left blank because I currently do not own any to verify their exact yield in Sparks. Since conversion rates vary compared to DEC values from other editions, I preferred to leave it empty until I obtain one or until someone in the comments shares the exact amount.

Burning Calculations | Cálculos de Quema
With this list, it is easier to know how many cards need to be burned to get what you want from The Arena Vanguard and calculate the amount required to reach 30,000 Sparks for a single The Arena Vanguard card. In the case of Regular Foil cards, you would need: 6,000 Commons, 1,500 Rares, 300 Epics, or 150 Legendaries. For Gold Foil cards, it would take: 600 Commons, 112 Rares, or 20 Epics.

In my case, considering that I have 23,531 Sparks, I need a little under 6,500 Sparks. To avoid drastically shrinking my collection, I will focus on the Gold Foil cards I own to minimize card los specifically my Rare and Epic cards:

Since I need 6,500 Sparks, burning 2 Gold Foil Epic cards yields 3,000 Sparks. That leaves me needing only 3,500 Sparks more, which translates to 13 Gold Foil Rare cards. At that point, it will just be a matter of deciding which card to buy in the Circa Royale Spark Shop.

This will leave me with 6 Gold Foil Rares and 75 Gold Foil Commons, representing 1,620 Sparks from the Rares and 3,750 Sparks from the Commons, for a total of 5,370 Sparks. However, I also extract DEC by selling Gold Foil cards to pay for SPS rentals or card rentals for the upcoming season starting in a few days. Alternatively, I could count my Regular Foil cards separating max-level cards while keeping several level 1 copies for rotations in Survival or even open a few Foundations Packs to get more cards and, with some luck, hit a Gold Foil Legendary to speed up acquiring Sparks before stock runs out.
