I’m continuing my reviews of Lisa Kleypas ’s Wallflowers series, because honestly, these books deserve it. They were beautiful stories; they reignited my love of reading and pulled me out of one of those reading slumps where nothing seems exciting. It had been ages since a book had kept me up until the wee hours of the morning, telling myself, “Just one more chapter…” only to end up reading half the novel 😌✨
Being the impatient person I am, I read the synopses of all the books before getting to this third one, so I already knew who Evie’s love interest would be. That’s why, when Sebastian appeared in the second book, I was immediately intrigued. He had presence, charisma, that kind of energy that makes it impossible to ignore him. But then comes the end of the second book… and that man does something that left me in absolute shock!

Fueron historias hermosas, me devolvieron las ganas de leer y me sacaron de uno de esos bloqueos lectores donde nada emociona. Hacía muchísimo tiempo que un libro no me tenía despierta hasta la madrugada diciendo “un capítulo más y ya” … para luego terminar leyendo media novela 😌✨
Como buena ansiosa, me leí las sinopsis de todos los libros antes de llegar a este tercero, así que ya sabía quién sería el interés amoroso de Evie. Por eso, cuando Sebastian apareció en el segundo libro, me sentí inmediatamente intrigada. Tenía presencia, carisma, ese tipo de energía que hace imposible ignorarlo. Pero entonces llega el final del segundo libro… ¡y ese hombre hace algo que me dejó en shock absoluto!

So when I started this third book, I wasn’t in love with Sebastian. I was furious 😌🔥 Really furious. That guy didn’t just have to win Evie over… he had to win me over, too. And I have to admit, in all honesty, that I’m a softie. I fell head over heels for his many charms, because yes: of the four male leads in the series, Sebastian is probably the most charming.
And even with all that, this ended up being my favorite story in the entire series. I devoured it from start to finish with absurd devotion. It made me laugh, it moved me, it broke my heart in several scenes, and it brought me to tears more than once. I felt so much empathy for both characters and ended up adoring them deeply.
But if I have to be completely honest… he wasn’t the real star here. Here, Evie was a goddess👑 More than falling in love with the male lead, I ended up falling in love with the female lead.
Así que cuando empecé este tercero, yo no estaba enamorada de Sebastian. Yo estaba furiosa 😌🔥 Furiosa de verdad. Ese señor no solo tenía que conquistar a Evie… también tenía que conquistarme a mí. Y debo admitir, con mucha honestidad, que yo soy débil. Caí rendida ante sus múltiples encantos, porque sí: de los cuatro protagonistas masculinos de la saga, Sebastian probablemente es el más encantador.
Y aun con todo eso, este terminó siendo mi historia favorita de toda la saga. Me lo devoré de principio a fin con una devoción absurda. Me hizo reír, me emocionó, me rompió en varias escenas y me sacó lágrimas más de una vez. Sentí muchísima empatía por ambos personajes y terminé adorándolos profundamente.
Pero si tengo que ser completamente sincera… aquí la verdadera estrella no fue él. Aquí Evie fue una diosa👑 Más que enamorarme del protagonista masculino, terminé enamorada de la protagonista femenina.

🌹Evie Jenner🌹
Evie had already been through so much before this story began. Honestly, Sebastian was a minor problem to deal with. And that’s why I love her so deeply. I love her because she knows what she needs and takes action. She doesn’t wait to be rescued; she doesn’t sit around crying over her fate—she makes a risky decision and follows through. That makes her an incredibly powerful protagonist.
Evie had never had anyone who truly cared for her, protected her, or worried about her well-being. So I can’t blame her for gradually opening up to Sebastian’s attentions, even knowing that he wasn’t exactly a model of trustworthiness.
I also loved seeing how, over time, she stopped stuttering when she spoke to him. Even though she was nervous, she wasn’t afraid of him. And I think that’s because of something very powerful: after surviving the true hell of her family, a man like Sebastian could no longer intimidate her. Evie is sweet, yes, but never foolish. She’s innocent, but not naive. She’s kind-hearted, but also smart. She has a quiet strength that completely won me over. I just wanted to hug her, protect her, and cheer her on all at once 😭💛
And honestly… Sebastian was a blessing for her, but she was a gift from heaven for him.
Evie ya había sufrido demasiado antes de comenzar esta historia. Honestamente, Sebastian era un minimo problema al que enfrentarse. Y por eso la amo profundamente. Me encanta porque sabe lo que necesita y actúa. No espera a que la rescaten, no se queda llorando por su destino: toma una decisión arriesgada y la ejecuta. Eso la convierte en una protagonista poderosísima.
Evie nunca había tenido a alguien que realmente la cuidara, la protegiera o se preocupara por su bienestar. Así que no puedo culparla por abrirse poco a poco a las atenciones de Sebastian, incluso sabiendo que él no era precisamente un modelo de confianza.
Además, me encantó ver cómo, con el tiempo, pierde su tartamudez al hablarle. Aunque estuviera nerviosa, no le tenía miedo. Y creo que eso se debe a algo muy fuerte: después de sobrevivir al verdadero infierno de su familia, un hombre como Sebastian ya no podía intimidarla. Evie es dulce, sí, pero jamás tonta. Es inocente, pero no ingenua. Es bondadosa, pero también inteligente. Tiene una fortaleza silenciosa que me conquistó por completo. Solo quería abrazarla, protegerla y aplaudirla al mismo tiempo 😭💛
Y sinceramente… Sebastian fue una bendición para ella, pero ella fue un regalo caído del cielo para él.

🌹Sebastian St. Vincent🌹
St. Vincent had everything he needed to find a wife without too much trouble: good looks, charm, a prestigious surname, and charisma. There was a long list of women who would have been delighted to marry him. But because he lived like a playboy and never took anything seriously, he never built anything real with anyone. And by some wonderful twist of fate… the shy Evie showed up at just the right moment and led him straight to marriage 😌
Now then: I was VERY angry with him for what he did at the end of the second book. I was disappointed, annoyed, full of prejudice… exactly as society saw him within the story. And that made everything better. Because as the story progressed, Sebastian just kept getting better and better and better. My expectations were in the gutter, so watching him grow as a character was a wonderful experience.
Evie describes him as a stray cat who goes around seducing every female cat he comes across, and honestly… she’s pretty spot-on 😂 He was a spoiled, charming man, superficial in many ways, used to getting pleasure effortlessly and without consequences. But in this book, for the first time, he has something to lose. For the first time, he wants to earn something.

St. Vincent tenía todo para conseguir una esposa sin demasiados problemas: atractivo, encanto, apellido, presencia. Había una larga lista de mujeres que habrían aceptado casarse con él encantadas. Pero por vivir como libertino y nunca tomarse nada en serio, jamás construyó nada real con nadie. Y por azares maravillosos del destino… la tímida Evie apareció en el momento perfecto y lo llevó directo al matrimonio 😌
Ahora bien: yo venía MUY enojada con él por lo que hizo al final del segundo libro. Estaba decepcionada, molesta, llena de prejuicios… exactamente como lo veía la sociedad dentro de la historia. Y eso hizo todo mejor. Porque mientras avanzaba la historia, Sebastian no hizo más que subir y subir y subir. Mis expectativas estaban por el suelo, así que verlo crecer como personaje fue una experiencia maravillosa.
Evie lo describe como un gato callejero que va por ahí conquistando a todas las gatas que encuentra, y la verdad… bastante acertado 😂 Era un hombre mimado, encantador, superficial en muchos sentidos, acostumbrado a obtener placer sin esfuerzo y sin consecuencias. Pero en este libro, por primera vez, tiene algo que perder. Por primera vez quiere merecer algo.
