Trail Art, Secret Plans, and Our Last Walk (For Now)

It is always a bit sad wrapping up a dog sitting stint. Today is the final day of our adventures together as the pooches mum comes back today, so we made sure to get in one last proper outing.

A light rain was coming down as we set off, giving the air a nice fresh feel to it. The rain did not bother us at all. If anything, it always makes the colours along our path look even nicer. Because of the rain, we kept up a steady pace rather than hanging around, and surprisingly, there were quite a few people about despite the rain.

One side of the path was lined with red hawthorn bushes, their bright berries glinting with rain against the leaves.

Further along the trail, we stumbled upon a lovely little piece of art. Unless there is a clever bird out there, someone had made a feather art piece by threading feathers through a single green leaf. It turns out this type of leaf art is quite popular among school groups and nature artists who like leaving little art pieces behind for others to discover.

After going through the woods and fields, we went home to dry off, but as always, the sun broke through the clouds just as we drove off.

Even though this is our last day together at my home, I am heading home with him tomorrow, and there will be many more exciting adventures for us all very soon!
