The Bible clearly states: “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus… For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death…” (Romans 8: 1 – 4).
What the Law could not achieve, Christ fulfilled. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus gives us the enablement to obey God from the heart. Grace doesn’t show us what to do alone, it gives us the capacity to do it! We no longer struggle in our own strength but depend on the power of the Holy Spirit within us.
That is the whole point of the message of grace which says in Ephesians 2: 8 – 9; “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast” [NIV].
