There is great importance of the family unit as the foundation of society. It is globally accepted that the family is the most basic of all human institutions. Society itself is built upon the family; even the body of Christ which is the church stands on the strength of families and every other institution rest upon this same foundation.
The Bible makes it plain how serious our responsibility to our families is.
1 Timothy 5: 8 - “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel”
This is a sobering reminder of how much God cares about our commitment to family. You must be intentional about working with God to make your family all that He desires for it to be. Endeavor to be committed to your husband or wife, as well to your children and to your parents. Study the Bible to understand how God expects you to treat them.
