Each time we talk about giving, a lot immediately measure themselves by their financial status and feeling inadequate, disqualify themselves from the act. But real giving is not about riches or poverty, it is about the condition of the heart. Giving is not merely an economic act; it is a spiritual principle that demonstrates our relationship with God.
There is no receiving that is absent of giving. Giving starts with offering ourselves to God before it ever touches material things. The law of giving and receiving is woven into God’s created order, it reflects His own nature. When you give yourself to God in the areas of worship, prayer, fasting, thanksgiving and service, God in turn gives Himself to you, filling your life with His presence, favour and blessings.
