My first Day in Imus : A Home-like Atmosphere that Puts the Mind at Ease

I've been living in the accommodation for quite some time now, and I can't help but long for home. I miss home so much that it leaves me feeling a little uneasy and restless.
Sometimes, just stepping outside and getting some fresh air brings relief to my senses. And whenever I get to visit my cousin's home, it feels like a remedy for my lonely heart — warm, familiar, and comforting.
I got invited to my cousin's home — we haven't seen each other in a while, so it really meant a lot to me. Honestly, it took me a lot of courage to ask permission from our accommodation caretaker and my agent. I was so nervous, but I did it anyway. And when they finally said yes and let me go, it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my chest. That was my cue to step out and finally breathe — to breathe in that warm, comfortable, family-like air that I've been missing so much. It was such a pleasure to go out, even just for a little while. Yay! I'm really so excited.

Living here in the city is actually quite convenient because you can easily book an online ride — it's called JoyRide. My cousin was so kind to book one for me. But then something funny (and a little annoying) happened. The rider didn't take me to the exact destination. I think it's because he noticed I wasn't the one who booked the ride. Thankfully, it wasn't that far from my cousin's house. My cousins just picked me up at the gate of the subdivision, so it was still okay.
It didn't even take me an hour to arrive at their place. And the moment I got there, I finally met my aunt — someone I hadn't seen in a decade. I also got to meet my nephews and niece for the first time. It was such a precious moment, and honestly, it feels like such an honor to be with them. My heart is so full and super happy right now.

We just finished eating lunch when my cousin invited me to come with her to buy some snacks at the Alfamart store nearby. We were actually supposed to go out and explore a bit, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so we were advised to just stay at home.

We just bought some cheese curls and drinks for everyone to share. Nothing fancy, just simple snacks — but it was perfect for our little get-together at home with a glimpse of netflix.
After we finished our snacks, they decided to buy some milk tea to complete our little merienda.

We bought milk tea for the kids at Super Daddy Cafe. Then, we left our order there to get a different kind of milk tea for the adults from another cafe — one that has coffee in it. We also bought a dessert from there. It tasted like graham, a little bit hard on the outside but really delicious on the inside.

My cousin was looking for something for her baby's runny nose, but she couldn't find it at Puregold, so I suggested we check the pharmacy instead. We went back to the cafe first to pick up our orders, then headed home. On the way, we stopped by the pharmacy and successfully found what she needed for her baby.
Indeed, cravings satisfied! ♥️ My heart is so happy and my tummy is full. It's the perfect combination — good food, good drinks, and good company. What more could I ask for?

My aunt brought home some food from a birthday party she had attended — Maja Blanca and spaghetti. And to make it even better, my cousin's live-in partner cooked some dumplings for us. It was such a perfect combination with our milk tea — sweet, savory, and everything in between. So yummy! I really felt so blessed. Good food always tastes better when shared with family. Right?
The most thrilling, exciting, and interesting part of the day was our unstoppable chitchats. We talked and laughed about everything — old memories, updates, funny stories — we just couldn't stop. We ended up sleeping at 2:30 AM because we had so much catching up to do. And honestly, it was worth every minute of staying up late.
