Pizza Time! Guess Who Ordered? And That Vegetable Soup was Amazingly Delicious

It's already my third day at my cousin's place, and it was time to prepare to head back to the accommodation. Even though I was only there for a short while, I felt so comfortable and welcomed - it truly feels like home. Honestly, I don't want to go back to the accommodation just yet. I wish I could stay a little longer with them. But I want to keep my promise to return on time, so I have to go.

I woke up super late today because the room I've been staying in was so dark, even though it was already morning. There was no sunlight coming in, so my body thought it was still early. I even checked my phone twice just to make sure the time was correct, because I couldn't believe it was already 10 a.m.! It felt like I had only slept for a few hours, but I actually had a long and peaceful sleep.

When I came out of the room and headed to the dining area, I saw my aunt busy preparing for lunch. She was peeling and slicing vegetables, but she had to stop for a while to take care of her grandchild. So, I offered to help and tried to finish what she had started. I felt so excited while cooking because it had been a long time since I had eaten vegetable soup that tasted just like the usual dish we have at home. It brought back so many memories and made me feel extra comforted. To make it even better, it was paired with fried galunggong - a perfect combination that made our lunch extra special and delicious.
But before we had lunch, we enjoyed a simple breakfast - coffee and bread with peanut butter. It may seem basic, but it's one of my favorite snacks. There's just something so comforting about the warm coffee paired with the creamy peanut butter on soft bread. Yummm!😍

Breakfast was already enough, even without rice, which is quite unusual for me. I was with my cousin B's partner's sister. She was also having breakfast because she was getting ready to go to school. I was quite amazed to learn that their school schedule was only half a day. It sounds so nice and light compared to the whole-day classes we used to have. She still gets to enjoy the rest of the day at home after school.

After lunch, we started talking about my special someone. I felt a bit shy showing his picture to my cousin and my aunt because I kept telling them that he's not that good-looking. But to my surprise, when they saw his photo, they said he was handsome and that his eyes were beautiful. Of course, me being so chismosa, I immediately shared their reactions with him. He was so sweet and kind about it. He told me that since it was September 1st, he wanted to treat me to something I wanted. At first, he suggested a chicken bucket, but since we had been eating chicken every day at my cousin's place, I thought of something different - pizza! Without hesitation, he ordered it online, and the Domino's pizzas were delivered right at the gate of my cousin's place. Yes, he was really serious about it! My heart was so full at that moment. Aside from the pizzas being really delicious, what made it extra special was that I could truly feel his effort and sincerity. It was such a simple gesture, but it warmed my heart so much. Aww!

But I had to face reality - it was time to go back to where I was supposed to be. In a way, I also felt like I was already becoming a burden to them, even though they never made me feel that way. But can you believe it? Before I left, they even gave me canned goods, snacks, and soaps to bring with me. They were so thoughtful and generous until the very end. For my convenience, my cousin even booked me a JoyRide so I could travel comfortably. It was such an unending goodbye, with hugs and reminders. They told me to come back again if the agency would allow me.
