VERMOSA, IMUS, CAVITE : Wandering Around, Savoring Every Moment, and Indulging in Good Food

After feeling suffocated in the accommodation for so long, that short break meant everything to me. I truly enjoyed every bit of my day at my cousin's place, especially when we went out to visit Vermosa in Imus, Cavite. It was such a nice place - there's an outdoor playground for the kids and an indoor games zone for everyone. Those are the kinds of things I never even got to experience back in the province. But in that moment, I had the privilege to finally enjoy them. It was such a simple day, yet so wonderful. For a moment, I felt free, happy, and alive again.
Originally, I was planning to hide my plans from everyone - only my parents and closest friends knew. But my cousin B accidentally found out that I was already here in the city and she immediately messaged me. At first, I was hesitant to reply. I even decided not to respond at all. I kept thinking if it was a good idea to open up. But after a day of thinking, I realized it wouldn't be that bad to tell her. And unexpectedly, our place were so close to each other - closer than we ever thought. She invited me to go out, and honestly, I was scared. I was afraid to go out alone, afraid that I might get lost in a place I wasn't familiar with.

This was actually only my second day staying in their house, and I could feel that the kids were a bit distant from me. I started to wonder what was wrong with me and why they wouldn't come near me. I was able to carry her baby, which made me so happy, but the two older kids were really shy - they wouldn't approach or play with me at all. At first, I felt a little sad about it, but my cousin told me not to worry because that's really how they are. They are just shy around new people, and they need more time to feel comfortable. I understand now that it takes time before they can truly warm up to someone new like me.
Our plan yesterday had to be postponed because of the bad weather, so we decided to resume it the next day. The kids were really excited to go out, and we didn't want to disappoint them. Before leaving, we had already prepared some mac and cheese snacks because their eldest son was craving it. But funny enough, when the food was finally ready, he wouldn't even look at it! So instead of leaving it behind, we decided to bring it with us to our destination. For faster and more convenient travel, they booked a car for everyone. Unfortunately, it was only a 4-seater, so we ended up having to book two cars to fit all of us.

It was lunchtime when we arrived, so we decided to grab food at Jollibee. Something happened in there - the service was too slow. The customers were waiting, but the food was taking too long to come, and one of the customers made a scene.
After eating, we found a spot to stay but decided to roam around and saw this place, but it seemed that it was not open yet. My cousin's second kid was really excited to try the rides, and my aunt asked the staff when they would operate, and they said later in the afternoon.
We tried going inside the game zone to enjoy the moment and try playing some games. I had never tried these games in my life, and it was an enjoyable place to bond with family. I remembered my family, especially my siblings. We never experienced moments like this in the city. After finishing the load on the cards, we decided to go out and let the kids play outside and set up our picnic cloth.

The baby just couldn't sleep peacefully. Every time my cousin took him out of the stroller, he would fall asleep right away in her arms. But the moment she tried to put him back into the stroller, he would wake up again and start fussing.

It was tiring to stay longer, so we booked a ride home since the skies were a little gloomy and the rain was about to pour any minute.

When we finally arrived home, we were all hungry again, so we shared the leftover mac and cheese and the spaghetti from Jollibee. It was simple, but it felt so comforting after a long day out. Indeed, it was such a tiring yet enjoyable and heartwarming moment with my cousin's family - a day I will truly treasure and never forget.
