Hey everyone! Today I’m sharing my latest artwork, "Go to the stars". The goal was to capture that sense of wonder and determination when looking into the unknown.
Concept & Sketch
Started with the core idea: an astronaut gazing into space. Focused on setting up the expression, the stylized helmet, and the overall composition.
Lineart & Base Colors
Cleaned up the sketch and split elements onto separate layers (face, hair, suit, glass helmet) to keep lighting work flexible.
Color & Lighting
Picked a warm galactic palette—purples, pinks, and oranges for the background nebula, contrasted with cool ambient light reflections on the skin.
Helmet & Details
Rendered the glass helmet with sharp curved highlights and subtle gradients. Added the "GO TO THE STARS" emblem on the shoulder and the star medal.
Final Render
Finished with glowing celestial orbs, lens flares, and floating stardust particles to tie the environment together.
