Seguimos compartiendo un poco de lo que fue nuestra estancia en la isla de Margarita y como lo has podido leer en título de esta publicación, en esta oportunidad quiero dejar por escrito un poco de la experiencia que tuvimos en la posada donde nos quedamos y que a modo de preámbulo puedo decir dos cosas, por un lado, más que una posada se sintió como un abrazo el lugar y en segundo lugar me gustaría hacer como una especie de recomendación a quien pueda interesar.
La dinámica será la siguiente intentaré exponer cómo fue mi experiencia en dicho lugar, y al final dejaré la información de la ubicación, contactos y demás cosas de interés esperando que sea útil para alguien.
Sin más preámbulo comencemos. Teníamos varias opciones en mente algunos días antes de concretar el viaje, y aunque lo primero fue comprar los boletos de avión. Miramos las opciones por la app Airbnb y nos enfocamos en opciones cercanas a la avenida 31 de julio por ser la zona que más nos convenía. Nos terminamos decidiendo por esta opción por 3 razones, su cercanía a la avenida antes mencionada, también por su cercanía a La Asunción y porque en la descripción en la aplicación nos ofrecían traslado de necesitar desplazarse a La Asunción por algún trámite y precisamente íbamos a la isla por algunos trámites, así que era perfecto.
Las fotos que vimos por la app parecía un lugar ideal y concretamos la reserva aunque algo nos hacía ruido, en la descripción en Airbnb no decía que hubiese wi-fi, pero creo que simplemente ha sido que no habían actualizado recientemente su perfil en la app, porque si tenían wi-fi.
Desde el primer minuto en la isla, la Sra Maryori quien nos recibió en el aeropuerto nos atendió con una hospitalidad superlativa y una amabilidad indecible. Al llegar a la posada nos facilitó las llaves de la habitación, o mejor dicho de la casita porque que decir habitación es ser injusto con lo que allí encontramos.
Como pueden ver en las fotografías, por fuera es una mini casa color blanco, pero la magia está al entrar. te recibe un mono espacio donde encontrarás una mesa con sus sillas y bancos, una cocina completa, una nevera, un espacio de lavado y una cama individual.
Antes de seguir con el recorrido, hay que decir que la cocina tiene los utensilios necesarios para resolver las comidas. Siguiendo el recorrido, en la habitación encontrarás una cama matrimonial muy cómoda, un closet, un TV con cable por si te gusta ver televisión. La habitación tiene su baño, y debo resaltar lo grandioso que posea un gran espejo no es que yo me miré demasiado, pero vaya que es útil.
Realmente llegar a la posada era un abrazo, una caricia porque tras estar bajo el abrasante sol del caribe y que puedas llegar, encender el aire acondicionado y poder regular tu temperatura con un un ambiente fresco y un vaso de agua fría no tiene precio. Algo que me encantó de sobremanera es que la iluminación en el día era completamente natural, al tener un tragaluz en el área de lavado y contar con las ventanas necesarias para tener una iluminación ideal sin dejar pasar demasiado calor del exterior. También con respecto a la iluminación en horas de noche debo elogiar la muy buena decisión de usar luz cálida en vez de la luz blanca y fría de estilo industrial que nos tiene dañado el cerebro.
No tenemos ninguna queja del lugar, es 100% recomendado y como ya mencioné la atención simplemente fue ejemplar. La Sra. Maryori nos atendió con una dulzura que de verdad se ganó nuestro corazón, hay que decir que recibes más de lo que esperas, simplemente 10/10. Nosotros pagamos $25 por noche, un precio asequible y que el lugar vale 100% la pena.
Otra de las cosas que me encantó, es que es una zona muy tranquila, si no mal recuerdo es un espacio pet friendly con amplio estacionamiento y una hermosa vista al famoso cerro Matasiete. Por cierto, había una linda y amigable perrita llamada Lima y un conejito que no recuerdo su nombre.
Se me olvidaba mencionar que con respecto a la ubicación hay que decir que tiene de todo muy cerca, farmacias, farmatodo, supermercados, el casco histórico de La Asunción, playas y si como nosotros, te moverás en transporte público, la av principal (31 de julio está muy cerca) y como dato extra con el transporte, frente a la posada pasa el bus de la ruta 2, que hace un recorrido desde La Asunción hasta Pampatar, pasando frente a centro comerciales famosos como Costa azul, Rattán y Sambil.
Creo que si piensas ir a la isla y no sabes dónde llegar, Residencias Alma libre es ideal para pasar unos días maravillosos mientras disfrutas de la isla de Margarita. Ahora bien, la información de interés.

Residencias Alma Libre - A Review of the Inn
We’re continuing to share a bit about our stay on Margarita Island, and as you can see from the title of this post, this time I want to write a bit about our experience at the inn where we stayed. By way of introduction, I’d like to say two things: first, the place felt more like a warm embrace than just an inn, and second, I’d like to offer a recommendation to anyone who might be interested.
Here’s how this will work: I’ll try to describe my experience there, and at the end, I’ll include information on the location, contact details, and other points of interest, hoping it will be useful to someone.
Without further ado, let’s get started. We had several options in mind a few days before finalizing the trip, and although the first step was to buy the plane tickets, we looked at options on the Airbnb app and focused on places near 31 de Julio Avenue since that was the area that suited us best. We ended up choosing this option for three reasons: its proximity to the aforementioned avenue, its proximity to La Asunción, and because the description on the app offered a ride if we needed to go to La Asunción for some paperwork—and we were, in fact, going to the island for some paperwork, so it was perfect.
The photos we saw on the app made it look like an ideal place, so we went ahead and booked it, even though something didn’t quite sit right with us—the description on Airbnb didn’t mention Wi-Fi, but I think it was simply because they hadn’t recently updated their profile on the app, because they actually did have Wi-Fi.
From the very first moment we arrived on the island, Ms. Maryori, who met us at the airport, treated us with exceptional hospitality and indescribable kindness. When we arrived at the inn, she gave us the keys to our room—or rather, to our little cottage, because calling it a “room” wouldn’t do justice to what we found there.
As you can see in the photos, from the outside it’s a small white house, but the magic happens when you step inside. You’re greeted by an open-concept space featuring a table with chairs and benches, a fully equipped kitchen, a refrigerator, a laundry area, and a single bed.
Before continuing the tour, it’s worth noting that the kitchen is equipped with all the necessary utensils for preparing meals. Continuing on, in the bedroom you’ll find a very comfortable double bed, a closet, and a cable TV in case you like to watch TV. The bedroom has its own bathroom, and I have to highlight how great it is to have a large mirror—not that I looked at myself too much, but boy, is it useful.
Arriving at the inn really felt like a warm embrace, a comforting touch—because after being out in the scorching Caribbean sun, being able to walk in, turn on the air conditioning, and regulate your body temperature in a cool environment with a glass of cold water is priceless. Something I absolutely loved was that the lighting during the day was completely natural, thanks to a skylight in the laundry area and enough windows to provide ideal lighting without letting in too much heat from outside. As for the lighting at night, I must also praise the excellent decision to use warm lighting instead of the cold, white, industrial-style light that’s been messing with our brains.
We have absolutely no complaints about the place—it’s 100% recommended—and as I mentioned, the service was simply exemplary. Ms. Maryori treated us with such kindness that she truly won our hearts; I have to say that you get more than you expect—simply a 10/10. We paid $25 per night, an affordable price, and the place is 100% worth it.
Another thing I loved is that it’s a very quiet area; if I remember correctly, it’s a pet-friendly space with ample parking and a beautiful view of the famous Matasiete Hill. By the way, there was a cute, friendly little dog named Lima and a bunny whose name I don’t remember.
I almost forgot to mention that, as far as the location goes, everything is very close by: pharmacies, drugstores, supermarkets, the historic center of La Asunción, beaches, and—if, like us, you’ll be getting around by public transportation—the main avenue (31 de Julio is very close). As an extra tip regarding transportation, Route 2 runs right in front of the inn, traveling from La Asunción to Pampatar and passing by famous shopping centers like Costa Azul, Rattán, and Sambil.
I think that if you’re planning to visit the island and aren’t sure where to stay, Residencias Alma Libre is the perfect place to spend a few wonderful days while enjoying Margarita Island. Now, here’s some useful information.
