You know, looking around the table today at the entire extended family gathered together, it hits you just how much she is the true anchor of this whole operation.
Today is my mum’s birthday, and being here with everyone makes it so obvious that her life is a masterclass in quiet, fierce devotion.
She’s the one who held the foundation steady while the rest of us grew into who we are.
She doesn't ask for the spotlight or demand a standing ovation, but the sheer amount of respect, gratitude and love in this room today speaks for itself.
She is the heart of this family, the standard of what it means to be truly good and selfless and sitting here at lunch celebrating her is the easiest, most well-deserved tribute we could ever give.
Happy birthday to the absolute rock of our lives, the woman who deserves every ounce of honour we can possibly give her today and every day.
