To Support each other means a lot to me... but to recognize people, even more!

This is going to be a different post, mostly acknowledging others rather than anything else. And because I haven't really spent time lately thinking about who helps who, and about the importance of recognising the people who work on tools or dapps of this chain that many of you use daily.
To give back feedback is often easy and trustless, but also to recognise creators for their work with justified opinion or facts is a much more valuable and curatable action. And that's because that's what eventually translates into the value of who spends the time creating/working on these things.
I am no exception; I use many MAANNNNYYYY tools, games, interfaces, you name it... I probably already tried it, but it takes me time to go recognise the creators of those. Funny story, every time I see something new, I always recall @katerinaramm 🤗 and in my mind, the following thoughts go by... "I need to share it... but I want @katerinaramm to find it first... 🤔, need to think of a way..." 😍😎
Long story short, we often identify ourselves with things others do, and in those moments we feel like (or at least I do) we need to recognise those things automatically because we like those things too, right? So, why not things others do that we haven't even thought to be valuable to you or even others around you? Yeah, we don't spend enough time thinking and recognising others' random work, because it's not natural to human beings.
But when we do, it has tremendous Value!
Just to make it clear... this is not about me getting more rewards via beneficiaries of the post I am going to talk about, I am using it as an example, and because it's a team I have already had so many interactions with, I am comfortable making it as an example to influence others doing the same about ANY other project.
So, are you using @threespeak? Do you like the decentralised nature of processing videos that become available within minutes (2 to 5 mostly) of their upload? I know it's not seconds, but it's also free, and you still control your own post. Imagine you upload your video on a very well-known platform, and then, the next day, the government of your country decides to block that platform content! All your work, sweat and eventually tears... are all gone, useless... because you don't have any control.
To create a platform where those things are (at least for now) free-flowing, either because the mechanisms to block them have not yet been found, or because they can easily adapt and maintain the freedom of their existence, it's yet to be known, but they exist right now! And they keep evolving every day, shaped by our feedback and how technology evolves.
The @threespeak project is one that makes me think about that status quo a lot. I don't upload many videos, and I am not very good at it. But I recognise the work of the several people that had contributed to the project and created this magnificent "it keeps working, baby" thing.

...and standards... letting people know what changed... when was the last time you saw this on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube? They don't care, they change it, and change it again, for their own profit/interest. They don't want people to talk about mistakes against them... obviously!
On this project, you can check the code changes live! You can audit, you can review, you can suggest! Thanks for all the work you have done on here @tibfox and @kesolink.
And before I drill down more through the project, let me shout out to @meno! Because of his initial videos https://3speak.tv and then on @snapie, they were the "first" reason to get me back again involved in participating in decentralisation for this project.

Why I decided to participate?
By the time I started watching @meno's videos, I was curious as usual, and completely got caught by the meaning of the "decentralised video processing" objective (given my background in HPC, and what I enjoy about decentralisation in general).
It was then that I decided to check the git repo and start experimenting on my own, as usual, and found out I need to do some things behind the scenes in order to be added as a node for community processing. Not that it is intended to be done that way, but at the time, the process was still being worked out, and it was @eddiespino that saved my day. I even made a stupid mistake that only he can verify :D Not anything too bad, but a classic mistake when trying things by yourself without reading closely what things mean.
But not too late, I was processing videos from New Zealand! For me, it felt like, man, these guys are doing work that needs to be seen. And at that time, I went my usual way, of spreading the word, and I don't know if because of it or not, but I quickly got some people looking for how to also help in the processing of videos.
In this case, it felt like I auto-recognised myself even LOL, as the objective of me sharing things is always getting more awareness of something I think valuable, but also because I want people to learn.
I know behind the scenes @meno had some help too, very bloody close help! 😎 And he does not know, but we share the same first name (if it is his first name/word). Let's see if he replies to this post? 🤣 I may need a bloody help on either someone telling him or people sharing this widely enought that he will see it! 🤣
Outcome? Well, after how many months now? I lost count, but things keep improving... I feel less bad living in New Zealand and being able to relatively faster upload/download stuff from the other side of the world for some old-style CPU processing.

And my apologies if sometimes it takes a little longer for very long videos, as when videos get selected to be processed on my node, they will fly all across the world into this very same machine I am writing this post from, and then back to where you uploaded it to initially. It has improved a lot! And I am sure it will continue...
But if you still want to give me credit for it, think of it as your videos travel a LOT! 🤣
How can you support video encoders?
Very simple, if you go into this report below, you can validate who is receiving beneficiaries due to the work achieved during that week, and decide if you want to support those people, curating at your own discretion.
