Some good street-art finds in a homemade skate park outside of Da Nang

Street art is a tough one here in Da Nang, vandalism is rightfully illegal, and I hate it when I come across an area where a bunch of people put up tags without permission. In fact, I hope they get arrested and severely punished. I would help the authorities in accomplishing this because covering a place with shitty word tags and hastily drawn stick figures looks stupid and trashy. At the same time though I love street art and it is one of my favorite kinds of art overall.
There are some spots where people actually own the land and must bring in artists to do this stuff with permission. The other day while wandering around I can across a little skate park that the owner must have made themselves and the street art was definitely authorized. Therefore it was also actually very good.
When I see something that looks this good I am always suspicious that there might have been brushes involved. Using brushes doesn't take away from the overall look but to me, it takes away from the authenticity since in my mind and many other peoples', street art must be accomplished using spray cans only.
But when I got close you can actually see where the spray can tapers off and some of the accents on that fruit are definitely carefully placed sprat dots. This is legit!
I think a little bit of "cheating" was done around the eyes there with a brush or some sort of point but I got in close to the other details and found that this is almost certainly near 100% done with spray.
These intentional parts where they don't connect the black is to make the hair look like real hair and when "zoomed out" that is exactly what it looks like. This is a very good piece indeed.
The rest of the park wasn't that great but it is still a lot better than most of the trash that we regularly see around town.
Now ab out these ramps: I don't skate but wouldn't that just launch you right into the neighboring property? I can only guess that it is to give you some speed by heading to one of the other cement things that are closer to the entrance.
When I first rocked up I thought there was someone standing there but that is just someone's laundry hanging out to dry. It did startle me a bit though.
This area is a part of town that appears as though the municipality had big plans for but the area just never really took to it. Someone around here must have had the idea to try to attract tourism by turning the entire community into a street art place because there are very nicely done pieces all over the neighborhoods, you just need to walk around a bit and you'll find them. They are not hidden.

That's the location of a Pomeranian coffee shop that is right in the middle of the neighborhood. I haven't yet gone in there because I am usually quite sweaty and hot and a hot coffee is the last thing I want at that point. But if I was walking and not covered in sweat, that would probably be a good spot to go and visit, especially if you like a bunch of tiny little yapper-dogs.
I will head back to this area and go around to the rest of the streets and see what else I can find. I was kind of impressed with this one little spot so perhaps there is even more to find!
