Cartas Sonoras.
He estado leyendo mucho sobre los prĂłceres de la independencia: SimĂłn BolĂvar, Francisco de Miranda, JosĂ© Antonio PĂĄez, Rafael Urdaneta, Manuela SĂĄenz, etc... Y ellos nos han dejado un legado escrito impresionante... Nada mĂĄs BolĂvar tiene un centenar de cartas que ademĂĄs contienen un prosa poĂ©tica indescriptible, se nota el esmero por la excelencia en las cosas mĂĄs cotidianas.
En mi bĂșsqueda por desarrollar mi estilo de composiciĂłn, he reflexionado mucho sobre los tĂtulos de los trabajos de los grandes compositores occidentales (Opus NÂș3, Concierto para tal instrumento, Cuarteto X) y quiero escribir otro tipo de tĂtulos a mis obras.
He decidido hacer un serie de composiciones tituladas "Cartas Sonoras" como dando idea a una correspondencia musical (una alegorĂa a como se comunicaban las personas de siglos pasados).
El Infinito Universo de la ComposiciĂłn.
En estos dĂas mi Padre me preguntĂł: ÂżCuĂĄntos compositores han llegado a escribir su novena sinfonĂa?
Realmente deben ser cientos que lo han logrado pero pocos los que conocen, la composiciĂłn no es una carrera sino un maratĂłn de por vida, jamĂĄs se esta 100% satisfecho con una creaciĂłn musical, es un hambre de producir sonoridades nuevas, de experimentar que es insaciable.
Sin embargo, lo que pocos saben es que incluso los grandes compositores como Bach, Mozart, Beethoven tuvieron periodos de gran producciĂłn y otros inactivos, cosa que es natural porque la vida es oscilante.
Pienso que esto requiere de 3 elementos: Paciencia, Trabajo y FĂ©. Es como ver crecer un Ărbol.
He llegado a pensar que incluso esta capacidad del ser humano de crear arte en todas sus expresiones: MĂșsica, Pintura, Escultura, Literatura es como un superpoder que tenemos todos, pero que por razones de supervivencia lo tenemos casi siempre en modo "Off".
Hace años hablĂ© con una Costurera que ella y su esposo son pintores, me decĂa que podĂa pasar mĂĄs de 24 horas pintando y no se daba cuenta.
Y esta y muchas anecdotas tantas mĂas como de otras personas creadoras de arte son similares, nacimos para crear, somos semejantes al Dios creador.
Sound Letters.
I have been reading a lot about the heroes of independence: SimĂłn BolĂvar, Francisco de Miranda, JosĂ© Antonio PĂĄez, Rafael Urdaneta, Manuela SĂĄenz, etc... And they have left us an impressive written legacy... BolĂvar alone has a hundred letters that also contain an indescribable poetic prose; you can notice the care for excellence in the most everyday things.
In my quest to develop my composition style, I have reflected a lot on the titles of the works of the great Western composers (Opus No. 3, Concerto for such instrument, Quartet X) and I want to write another type of titles for my works.
I have decided to make a series of compositions titled "Sound Letters", giving the idea of a musical correspondence (an allegory to how people of past centuries communicated).
The Infinite Universe of Composition.
The other day my Father asked me: How many composers have managed to write their ninth symphony?
There must really be hundreds who have achieved it, but few are known; composition is not a race but a lifelong marathon, you are never 100% satisfied with a musical creation, it is an insatiable hunger to produce new sonorities, to experiment.
However, what few know is that even the great composers like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven had periods of great production and others inactive, which is natural because life is oscillating.
I think this requires 3 elements: Patience, Work, and Faith. It is like watching a Tree grow.
I have come to think that even this capacity of the human being to create art in all its expressions: Music, Painting, Sculpture, Literature is like a superpower that we all have, but which for survival reasons we almost always have in "Off" mode.
Years ago I spoke with a Seamstress who, along with her husband, are painters; she told me that she could spend more than 24 hours painting and wouldn't even notice.
And this and many other anecdotes, as much my own as those of other creators of art, are similar; we were born to create, we are like the creator God.
