The COTI team recently announced that 58% of the COTI token emissions allocated to the community for various purposes like::
- Ecosystem growth initiatives - Staking rewards and COTI Earn - Node rewards - Exchange campaigns and airdrops - Additional liquidity incentives
All those tokens will now be trackable on-chain in a provable, dedicated wallet held in cold storage & here is the wallet address - [The Community Rewards Wallet](https://mainnet.cotiscan.io/address/0xb00D3cAb13Fd242c76C86778d3A658eBBd0c2Fc5). A quick glance on the wallet address indicates it holding around 329+ Million COTi tokens. Now that the treasury is closed moving forward all the token emitted will be sent to this wallet - which means that there is going to -
One wallet -> One transfer [every month] -> Cold storage [tokens held here] -> & A Full visibility [anyone can verify balances any time]

When this news came out that the COTi treasury will be paused - [COTI Treasury On a PAUSE - I Still Cannot DO Anything](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@gungunkrishu/coti-treasury-on-a-pause-i-still-cannot-do-anything-lets-explore-investment-redirect-to-hive-coming-sooon) - I didnt have acces to my funds and had raised a ticket to the COTi team around it. What answer I had got was that on 18th August, 2026 all funds locked in the treasury will be returned back to the respective wallets. So Yes the funds have been returend and the same is reflected in my wallet above. I just missed the opportunity to swap my #gCoti for COTi tokens but anyways for now I am going to retain both the tokens on my metamask wallet and there are no plans for now on my side to moving tokens to a CEX[Centralized Exchange] KuCoin. As I mentioned earlier, I won’t be participating in the COTI Flexible Promotion on the KuCoin exchange. My reasoning is simple:
"Not your keys, not your tokens."
Moving my COTI holdings to a centralized exchange for a mere 18% APR over a one month period simply isn't worth the additional custodial risk. I'd rather keep full control of my tokens and wait for the right time and right now its just #HODL wait an watch TIME...
