Hey All,
Its an irony that I reported day before yesterday about - COTI Treasury Transaction STILL STUCK — Is This What We Expect from a Professional Blockchain? And here we are that the #COTi team made a recent announcement stating a pause to the COTi treasury i.e. - [COTI Treasury will pause on August 18, 10am UTC](https://cotinetwork.medium.com/coti-treasury-update-migration-9d271d9c0819). Putting a pause all of a sudden is a big surprise to the community and to be honest, I did not like this move from the COTI team, and neither did many community members, as a large number of users had their funds locked in the Treasury with the expectation that it would continue operating as originally planned. So why ALL this change all of a SUDDEN?

I dont buy the justification that has been given and its around COTI is going all-in on powering enterprise privacy. Yes fine please foscus on more adoption but then why stop the treasury staking an rewards. What the team said here is a bit odd stating that the Treasury is being put on pause for the foreseeable future. The Treasury has had a solid run, and we’re very grateful for everyone’s participation in the Treasury. Further stating that running and managing State of the Treasury requires significant resources and the existing treasury is in need of an upgrade. I dont see much resources to be deployed here and dont not buy it - its a simple UI allowing one to stake and unstake tokens not that complex at all stating that much resources are need here and we need to focus the attention of the resoiurces to other high priority tasks. But whereas treasury doesnt not require develpment activity every now and then. Anyways its the team decision and users/investors have no control over it and will need to do as satted in the guide if one has to stake their COTi tokens on KuCoin exchange. Currently there is 18% APR being offered but I am not intrested on moving the tokens to a centralized exchange - Not your keys Not your Crypto it is that simple. For now the plan for me is to wait until all my #COTi and #gcoti tokens are transfered to my wallet. I cannot do it myself as I have a transaction stuck which is not allowing me to do anything.. How bad can this be and it looks like to be purposefully created for many users so that they cannot do anything but just wait for August 18th when all remaining tokens will be auto-transferred to our wallet when the Treasury is paused. All I can say a SAD end for now but I do plan to #hodl both these tokens and see if in near future can take some advantage of the price hike and exit from it and invest ALL of the investment in #HIVE..
