Summary: Week 2 of the HivePulse SEO Contest is settled. Three creators split 300 HIVE, every entry was re-scored directly from the blockchain, and week 3 opens today — from this moment, not tomorrow.
Last week @hdev asked Hive creators to optimize a post with the HivePulse SEO Contest analyzer and show the score. Six posts came in from five creators, every one re-scored directly from the blockchain. Below are the winners, every score, and how to enter week 3.
How were the HivePulse SEO Contest winners chosen?
No screenshot was taken on trust. Every entry was re-scored from its published on-chain body using the same scoring engine the extension runs in the editor, so a flattering screenshot cannot win. In fact the screenshot is only ever used to confirm you ran the tool. The ranking metric is the combined average of the SEO percentage and the GEO score.
Three checks decide eligibility: publication inside the contest window, the #hivepulse tag, and a minimum SEO score of 70. Merit does the rest.

Cleared every rule: in window, tagged, and past the SEO 70 floor. Moreover @ekads improved on week 1 rather than repeating it. @ekads asked sharp questions about search indexing back in week 1 and turned up this round with a full entry.

A reminder that carried real weight this round: several entries were ruled out for missing the #hivepulse tag. It costs nothing and takes two seconds. However, without it a post cannot place, no matter how well it scores.
@katriel1 is close on structure and a long way from the floor on length — 283 words is the single biggest thing holding that score down, because length feeds structure, keyword placement and readability at once. Come back in week 3 with 800 and the number moves a long way.

Where the points actually are
Two rounds of data now say the same thing. SEO scores cluster high; GEO is what separates entries. Every winner across both weeks scored well on GEO, and the entries that missed the podium missed it there.
GEO measures whether an AI answer engine can lift a passage from your post and cite it. Therefore the habits below matter more than any single keyword. Three habits carry almost all of it:
1. Open with the answer. Put the payoff in the first 8 to 60 words, before any preamble. 2. Write self-contained sentences. A sentence beginning "This shows…" means nothing quoted alone. Name the subject. 3. Keep pronoun density low. Repeat the noun where a weaker draft reaches for "it" or "they".
And the cheapest 10 points on the board: fill in the preview description. On PeakD it is "Short preview description", right under the editor. On Ecency it is in the Story preview step, the box under the greyed-out title — pre-filled from your post, so it looks like your text, but editing it changes only your search snippet.
