Here is my participation in #BeerSaturday even if the bot is still "on vacation" 😀. The Friday evening beer after a week of work perfectly announces the start of the weekend. This week, we're talking about Traditional Cream Ale brewed in Quebec by [Knowlton Co.](https://laknowltonco.com/). I wanted a fresh and creamy beer at the start of a beautiful summer weekend in Montreal.

Je voulais une bière fraîche et crémeuse en ce début de beau weekend d'été à Montréal.
Here is the map of Quebec where I can show you precisely the location of the brewery. Today, we are going east of Montreal in the Eastern Townships to discover the brewery [La Knowlton Co.](https://laknowltonco.com/) located in the town of Knowlton. In this region almost every village has its brewery, Dunham, Bromont, Sutton... A region that I like 😀.

Traditional Cream Ale (La Knowlton Co.)
📜 Brewery / Brasserie :
The microbrewery [Knowlton Co.](https://laknowltonco.com/) is located, as its name suggests, in the town of Knowlton (east of Montreal). It was founded in 2019 by Jim Allan and his son Nicholas as well as Toby Bouchard as master brewer. They wanted to offer different types of beers like a Porter or a Cream Ale with a very good philosophy: “Life is rough, beer is sweet.”. I really have to go visit their facility, especially with their pizza oven😛.

Elle a été fondée en 2019 par Jim Allan et son fils Nicholas ainsi que Toby Bouchard comme maitre brasseur. Ils voulaient offrir des types de bières différentes comme une Porter ou une Cream Ale avec une très bonne philosophie : « La vie est rude, la bière est douce. ». Il faut vraiment que j'aille visiter leur installation, surtout avec leur four à pizza 😛.
🍺 Tasting / Dégustation :
The Traditional Cream Ale is, as its name indicates, a Cream Ale with 5.3 alcohol hopped with Nugget and Crystal. In the glass, we have a beautiful transparent straw yellow color topped with a light foam. The first sip brings a slight sweet taste, like honey without any bitterness (normal with an IBU of 10). It's truly a thirst-quenching beer, to refresh after a hot day at work. The first part of his mission is accomplished. On the other hand, I was expecting a more pronounced creamy side. But it was a good beer to start this weekend.
> La Cream Ale Traditionnelle est comme l'indique son nom une Cream Ale avec 5.3% d'alcool houblonnée avec du Nugget et Crystal. Dans le verre, on a une belle robe jaune paille transparente surmontée d'une mousse légère. La première gorgée apporte un léger goût sucré, comme du miel sans aucune amertume (normal avec un IBU de 10). C'est vraiment une bière de soif, pour rafraichir après une chaude journée de travail. La première partie de sa mission est accomplie. Par contre, je m'attendais à un côté crémeux plus accentué. Mais ce fut une bonne bière pour commencer ce weekend.
Design
The design of [Knowlton Co.](https://laknowltonco.com/) is always the same, a little comic strip rolled up on the can. For this beer, the illustrations are by [Mathilde Filippi](https://www.mathildefilippi.ca/) with this funny story. I don't know if I'd have a beer after being scalped. But it's true with a good beer, everything works out.

Pour cette bière, les illustrations sont de [Mathilde Filippi](https://www.mathildefilippi.ca/) avec cette drôle d'histoire. Je ne sais pas si je prendrais une bière après avoir été scalpé. Mais c'est vrai avec une bonne bière, tout s'arrange.
