Hive Creators V2: Building an Open Growth Infrastructure for Hive - Proposal
Published on HivePostify by @hivecreators · Sun Jul 26 2026
Over the past few weeks, we have taken the time to carefully listen to, analyze, and discuss the feedback received on our proposal submitted to the DHF.

Many members of the community supported the initiative. Others raised important questions about the budget, the project's scope, and, above all, the role that marketing should play within Hive.
After carefully reviewing every comment, we reached one simple conclusion:
> The next version of this proposal will not simply have a smaller budget. It will be a better proposal.
External Advisory
We would also like to publicly thank several community members who contributed valuable feedback to strengthen this updated version.
In particular, we want to thank Jeff from iDeer Innovation Labs, who has provided valuable perspectives on the project's structure, sustainability, and execution strategy. Jeff will continue supporting this initiative on a completely voluntary basis throughout the execution of the project.
From a Campaign to Growth Infrastructure
Our original proposal focused primarily on producing content, campaigns, tools, and resources to support Hive adoption.
However, conversations with the community helped us realize something much more important.
Hive doesn't simply need communication campaigns. Hive needs growth infrastructure.
That means building tools, processes, and resources that enable communities, projects, and developers to attract and onboard new users more efficiently and in measurable ways.
One of our first priorities will be to continue developing join.holahive.com, transforming it into a fully open-source platform that simplifies Hive account creation and improves the experience of inviting new users into the ecosystem.
But we don't want to stop there.
Our goal is also to collaborate with communities, developers, and dApps that need support designing adoption strategies, improving their onboarding experiences, or experimenting with new user acquisition initiatives.
Our mission is no longer simply to produce content.
Our mission is to build an open growth infrastructure for Hive based on data, strategy, and measurable results.
Fewer Promises. More Results.
We will not measure our work by the number of posts we publish.
We will measure it by the impact it generates across the Hive ecosystem.
With this updated proposal, our primary success indicators include:
New User Activation: onboard approximately 3,000 new users, prioritizing accounts that perform meaningful actions within Hive dApps rather than simply registering. User Reactivation: develop campaigns designed to bring inactive users back into the ecosystem while measuring their continued engagement. Meaningful First Actions: increase the number of new users who publish content, engage with communities, use Hive dApps, perform a Power Up, or execute relevant blockchain transactions during their first days. Retention: collaborate with Hive communities and applications to design strategies that improve user retention after 30, 60, and 90 days. Project Adoption: help new projects, development teams, and builders experiment with Hive to launch new applications or strengthen existing ones.
Every milestone will be documented through public reports so the community can independently evaluate the project's progress.
A More Focused Proposal
Another important lesson we learned was that trying to solve too many problems at once makes it harder to communicate the true purpose of the initiative.
For that reason, this updated proposal is built around three core pillars.
Proof of Use
Document how individuals, communities, developers, and applications use Hive every day through real-world case studies, metrics, and open documentation.
Growth Content
Produce strategic content designed to educate, attract, and activate new users through coordinated digital campaigns alongside the community.
Open Resources
Develop tools, research, visual assets, and reusable resources that any project within the Hive ecosystem can freely leverage.
A More Efficient Budget
Our original proposal requested 8,816 HBD to fund a twelve-month operation.
After reviewing the project's scope and priorities, we believe a smaller first phase will allow us to validate the model while significantly reducing the DHF's financial risk.
The updated proposal will cover an eight-month execution period with an approximate budget of 4,800 HBD, distributed as follows:
| Area | Budget | | --------------------------------------- | ------------: | | Creative Production | 2,500 HBD | | AI & Automation | 200 HBD | | Infrastructure & Operations (12 months) | 300 HBD | | Growth, Ads & Partnerships | 1,600 HBD | | Creative Software (2-month transition) | 200 HBD |
Total Requested: 4,800 HBD
Why reduce the budget while the original proposal is still active?
Our goal is to reduce the DHF's risk during this initial phase while demonstrating meaningful results through a more efficient operational model.
If the proposal is approved sooner than expected and additional funding becomes available, we will prioritize increasing the allocation for Growth, Ads & Partnerships, as we believe this area offers the greatest opportunity to accelerate Hive adoption.
Optimizing Every HBD
Beyond reducing the overall budget, we are also optimizing operational costs.
Adobe licenses will only be maintained during the first two months while we complete our transition toward more efficient workflows and open-source alternatives.
This eliminates a recurring operational expense without compromising the quality of our creative production.
We will continue leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, and open-source software to maximize productivity while directing a larger share of the budget toward adoption initiatives.
The Growth, Ads & Partnerships allocation may also fund initiatives such as:
