To celebrate the start of Hive FPL 26/27 (our 5th season on Hive) and the launch of Football Exchange, Hive FPL is giving you the chance to claim free MEDALS, the native token of [SportsBlock](https://sportsblock.app/), a Hive-based dApp built by sports fans, for sports fans.
How do I claim my free MEDALS?
To qualify, you must complete both of the following before the Gameweek 1 deadline at 18:30 BST on 21 August:
1. Join both the Hive FPL Classic League and Hive FPL Head-to-Head League.
2. Join Football Exchange and purchase at least one player.

How does the MEDALS reimbursement work?
When you join Football Exchange, you'll have the opportunity to buy any Premier League player at their starting buy price in MEDALS.
You'll also notice that each player has a sell price, which is the amount you would receive if you sold that player before the start of the season.

Hive FPL will take a snapshot of all Football Exchange holdings immediately after the GW1 deadline and reimburse the difference between the buy and sell prices of your GW1 purchases, up to a maximum of 50 MEDALS.
The reimbursed MEDALS will be sent directly to your Hive wallet after the snapshot has been taken - no need for you to do anything expect play the game!
In simple terms, we'll cover your initial spread loss, which exists purely because of the difference between the buy and sell prices before any matches have been played.
