One week to go! Hive FPL and Football Exchange are almost here!

The countdown is on!
Just one week until the new Premier League season kicks off with Arsenal v Coventry on Friday night and that means one week until the return of Hive FPL and the start of the brand new Football Exchange game on SportsBlock!

After weeks of waiting, planning, tinkering and probably far too many changes to your squad, we're almost ready to go.

1 season, 3 competitions, all to play for!
The Hive FPL Classic League returns for 2026/27, giving managers the chance to battle it out over the full 38 GW season to be crowned Hive FPL champion.
This is the big one! The prize fund for the Classic League last season hit 3904 HIVE. Our defending champion, @leebennett was in the top 1% of players globally and it's highly likely that players will need to hit that elite level again over the course of the full season to land the big prizes.
Running alongside the Classic league, we have our 2 Head to Head leagues. Division 1 sees our top 20 players slug it out week on week in matches that are very often decided by just 1 or 2 decisions.
Glory awaits for the team that can wrack up the most H2H wins while at the other extreme the threat of relegation looms with the bottom 5 sides going down to Division 2.
Last season's Division 2 was an epic struggle between a whole host of very competent FPL managers in the race to get to the top flight. Who will prevail this season?
As a reminder, the H2H leagues offer the chance for managers to win prizes on a weekly basis keeping the excitement and competition up across the entirety of an EPL season.

New to this season and based on the FPL game is Football Exchange, built right here on Hive via the SportsBlock dApp.
While Football Exchange may be linked to FPL it takes a totally different approach.
Rather than simply selecting a squad and competing based on FPL points, Football Exchange introduces a player trading element.
The idea is to think about the week on week performance individual Premier League footballers and make decisions around which you might want to buy, hold and trade.
Unlike FPL, there are no limits on the number of transfers you can make in a single GW and you can own anywhere between 0 and 11 players at any given time.
Buy low, sell high and the profit from that trade is all yours. You can cash it out immediately or re-invest it in your next big idea! The user with the most profitable squad at the end of the season also scoops a 500 HIVE bonus.
While there is no explicit deadline to join Football Exchange (you can start playing anytime across the season), you do need to make sure you've signed-up and have a squad in place for Hive FPL and FE by GW1 deadline on Friday if you want to take advantage of our MEDAL reimbursement offer.
