Should HivePostify Stay Only on Hive? And Where Do We Go From Here?

I hope you are doing well.
For the last many days I have been thinking deeply about the future of HivePostify. I want to write this post with complete honesty. No filters. No polished marketing language. Just the real thoughts that are in my mind right now.
Some people suggested that HivePostify should expand and also support other chains like Blurt, and a few even mentioned Steem. The idea was that if the platform supports more than one blockchain, it might bring users from different ecosystems. When I first heard this, I did not reject it immediately. I sat with the idea. I thought about the technical work, the extra maintenance, the user experience, and the long-term direction. After thinking about it carefully, I realized something clear.
I do not feel any real interest in adding Steem or Blurt.
The more I think about it, the more I feel that expanding in that direction will only create complexity without giving real long-term value. My mind keeps coming back to one thought: HivePostify should remain focused on Hive. That part is becoming clearer to me.
But this post is not only about chains. It is about something deeper.
Most people here already know the background. I have spent one full year building this platform alone. The amount of work, the late nights, the continuous development, and the way this project has been viewed by different parts of the Hive community, including some larger accounts, is already known to many of you. I do not need to repeat the full story again.
What I do want to say is this: I remember almost every person who supported this project in any way. I also remember those who created difficulties. I will not forget either of them. That is just how I am.
I have never expected success to come easily. If success was easy, everyone would be successful. Building something real takes time, patience, and consistent effort. I have always known that.
There is one more thing I want to mention clearly. Someone has been preventing the subscription system from being enabled properly. Otherwise, monthly subscriptions would have already been running by now. I am not foolish. I understand how these things work. I can see the patterns. I know what is happening in the background.
My goal has never been small. I want to take this platform to 1 million users. That is the direction I think about. But I also understand the reality of Hive’s current capacity. Even if every user gave me delegation, or even if every stakeholder supported the project with their power, Hive still does not have the capacity to support meaningful earnings for such a large number of users through the normal reward system. I have tested this. Realistically, the current system struggles beyond a certain point, maybe in the range of 20 to 40 thousand active earning users.
We all know that in the past years Hive has lost a very large percentage of its users. Some say more than 90 percent of the earlier user base is gone. I can write a detailed post about why so many people left and why the price has remained under pressure if anyone really wants to discuss that. But that is not the main point of this post.
From the very beginning, my intention was never to bring users who only come to farm rewards and withdraw. That kind of activity puts more sell pressure on the token and does not help the ecosystem in the long run. My original thinking was different. I wanted people who would actually use the platform, create value, and especially use the freelancing marketplace. I wanted users who would treat it as a real working platform, not just a place to extract rewards.
But here is the practical problem. You cannot grow a freelancing marketplace with only 20 users. A marketplace needs both freelancers and buyers. It needs volume. When a community is still very small, the marketplace stays quiet. As the user base grows, the activity can start moving naturally. That is how these systems work.
In real freelancing, orders can range from 20 dollars to 5000 dollars or even more. If even a portion of those payments start happening in Hive, that would be real demand. That is actual proof of work and real utility, not artificial pumping. That is the kind of direction I wanted to build.
I needed roughly one year of meaningful support to keep developing and growing this properly. That support did not come at the level that was required. I accept that. There is no point in repeating the same request again and again.
Now I am shifting my focus more strongly toward the freelancing marketplace instead of mainly pushing content creation. Content will still exist, but the stronger priority will be freelancers and buyers. Pakistan has a large number of freelancers. A platform with near zero percent fee can actually help them. This country needs something practical like this.
I am a student. My pocket is limited. Server and related expenses are real. At some point, if the costs cannot be managed, I may have to make hard decisions about the future of the platform. I am saying this calmly, not as a threat.
Many projects on Hive have received funding and support. I am not claiming to be special. I am only saying that in one full year the total support this project received remained very small, around the range of 300 dollars. That amount is not large enough to move the Hive price or affect any large wallet. Even a 5 or 10 dollar contribution from someone does not change anything for a big stakeholder. But for a student trying to keep a platform alive and build something useful for his country, it can make a difference.
I still prefer to build on Hive. I still feel more aligned with this chain than with others. That has not changed. The only question is whether this ecosystem wants a project like this to continue growing here or not.
I am not writing this to demand anything. I am writing it to put the real situation in front of you clearly.
Should HivePostify remain focused only on Hive and go deeper into freelancing and real utility, or is the current reality telling me something else?
