Plötzlich Wikinger in der Playlist

Hallo,
Jahrelang war mein Musikgeschmack eigentlich ziemlich klar: deutscher Rock, die 80er und 90er und alles, was sich über die Jahre so festgesetzt hat. Und jetzt passiert plötzlich etwas, womit ich selbst nicht gerechnet hätte. Auf einmal laufen bei mir epische, nordische Klänge mit mächtigen Trommeln, tiefen Männerstimmen, kräftigen Frauenstimmen und ordentlich Bass. Irgendwie sind wohl ein paar Wikinger in meine Playlist eingezogen. 😄⚔️ Das Verrückte daran: Auch meiner Frau gefällt diese Musik. Damit hätte ich nun wirklich nicht gerechnet.
Dabei muss ich zugeben, dass ich bei manchen Titeln kaum ein Wort verstehe. Aber erstaunlicherweise spielt das überhaupt keine große Rolle. Die Stimmen, egal ob Mann oder Frau, werden fast selbst zu einem Instrument. Zusammen mit den Trommeln, Chören und Melodien entsteht eine Atmosphäre, die mich bei einigen Songs regelrecht erwischt. Es gibt Titel, bei denen ich tatsächlich Gänsehaut bekomme, obwohl ich keine Ahnung habe, was da gerade genau gesungen wird. Vielleicht ist das sogar das Interessante daran: Ich verstehe nicht jedes Wort, aber das Gefühl kommt trotzdem an.
Besonders deutlich merke ich das im Auto. Manche dieser Songs kann ich einfach nicht leise hören. Dann wird aufgedreht, der Bass drückt aus den Boxen und für einen kurzen Moment fühle ich mich wieder ein Stück jünger. Fast wie früher, als Musik noch richtig Druck haben musste und man den Bass nicht nur hören, sondern auch spüren wollte. Dieses Gefühl war offenbar nie ganz verschwunden – es brauchte nur die richtige Musik, um es wieder hervorzuholen.
Und dann ist da natürlich noch eine Sache: Ein großer Teil dieser Musik wurde mit künstlicher Intelligenz erschaffen. Anfangs fand ich den Gedanken schon etwas merkwürdig. Kann mich Musik wirklich berühren, wenn dahinter keine klassische Band steht? Inzwischen ist mir die Antwort ziemlich egal. Wenn ein Song Gänsehaut auslöst, ich ihn im Auto lauter drehe und er für ein paar Minuten dieses alte Gefühl zurückbringt, dann macht er für mich genau das, was Musik machen soll. Meine 80er, 90er und der deutsche Rock sind deswegen nicht verschwunden. Es ist einfach etwas Neues dazugekommen – und so wie es aussieht, dürfen die Wikinger noch eine ganze Weile bleiben. 😄⚔️🔥

Suddenly Vikings in My Playlist
For years, my taste in music was actually pretty easy to describe: German rock, music from the 80s and 90s, and all those songs that somehow became part of my life over the years. And now something has happened that I really didn't expect. Suddenly I'm listening to epic Nordic sounds, powerful drums, deep male voices, strong female vocals and plenty of bass. Apparently a few Vikings have moved into my playlist. 😄⚔️ And the really surprising part is that my wife enjoys this music too.
I have to admit that with some of these songs I hardly understand a single word. Surprisingly, that doesn't really matter. The voices, whether male or female, almost become instruments themselves. Together with the drums, choirs and melodies they create an atmosphere that sometimes really gets to me. There are songs that actually give me goosebumps even though I couldn't tell you exactly what is being sung. Maybe that's what makes it so fascinating: I don't understand every word, but I definitely understand the feeling.
I notice it most when I'm driving. Some of these songs simply can't be played quietly. The volume goes up, the bass starts pushing through the speakers and for a short moment I actually feel a little younger again. It reminds me of the days when music had to have some real power behind it and you didn't just want to hear the bass – you wanted to feel it. Apparently that feeling never completely disappeared. It just needed the right music to bring it back.
And then there is one more interesting part to all of this: much of the music I'm currently listening to was created with artificial intelligence. At first that felt a little strange. Can music really move me when there isn't a traditional band behind it? By now, I don't really care about that question anymore. If a song gives me goosebumps, makes me turn up the volume in the car and brings back a feeling from years ago, then it is doing exactly what music is supposed to do. My 80s, 90s and German rock haven't disappeared. Something new has simply joined them – and it looks like those Vikings are going to stay for quite a while. 😄⚔️🔥
