Want to Know a Country? Look Inside Its Prisons

You can tell about a country judgement by looking at what is inside their prisons, lot of criminals isn't what the entire point but how they're keeping those prisoners in there is
every citizens have the rights of things and the one kept in prison aren't any different that is why they get to have lawyer, a judge who decides the sentence they'll be supposed to do behind those walls closed doors.
I believe having empathy goes a long way even to those who did harm to others, who were bad but still they're human and showing of some human decency wouldn't make us look bad.
The well being of prisoners
There's some people who would totally vote for keeping prisoners locked up, don't provide them food or any basic thing, let them stay as if they are rooting in hell
But in reality it should be totally different, a country could be judged easily by how one prisoner is being treated, if there's law, there would be prisoners and those prisoners would be doing the sentence while having those basic things like healthcare, food and clean clothes.
If they're sick, should be looked after right away cause that's what makes us human and if they could see that through I'm pretty sure it'd make them better too.
Except in those cases where one criminal has been violent enough to not have any humanity left for others but still giving healthcare won't do any worse.
It might improve and bring changes
I'm a big believer of doing good for others and not expecting anything in return so when there's a criminal doing time
I wouldn't expect anything from someone doing time in the prison return any good when I'm being good.
But deep down everyone does indeed reflect on themselves and there's no doubt in it we are all aware of our wrong doing, our wrong judgement, the regrets we have and everything else
Treating prisoners right way means they'd be reflecting on their behaviour and it could potentially bring the changes they're not even expecting.
I've seen people change over something because they've influence from someone so it goes a long way when you show them the basic kindness.
And while in jail I believe no one thinks there's anyone who's their friend, they see everyone as enemy because of what they did and they know that
Hurting others is much more easy for violent people than taking some kindness, they wouldn't care any less if they're rooting and die of sickness if we won't provide them but doing the right thing will ensure that we tried and have no regrets over it. Wonder what's your thoughts on this.
