Mis visitas al Bar Cafetería El Fajardo junto a Yessica ya se están convirtiendo en una pequeña costumbre. Al estar tan cerca de nuestro trabajo, es uno de esos lugares a los que podemos escaparnos de vez en cuando, y además tenemos la posibilidad de pagar por transferencia. Parece un detalle pequeño, pero en Cuba no siempre es fácil tener acceso a efectivo, así que para nosotras esta opción hace la diferencia.
Dentro de nuestras posibilidades, siempre tratamos de pedir algo diferente y rico. Esta vez decidimos darle una nueva oportunidad a las pizzas y acompañarlas con una limonada brasileña.
El horario en el que normalmente podemos ir no es precisamente el mejor, porque el sol y el calor de Holguín a esas horas pueden ser terribles. Pero El Fajardo tiene algo que ayuda a compensarlo: el lugar es bonito, agradable y el trato siempre ha sido muy bueno.
Cuando llegaron las pizzas, Yessica quedó encantada. Y tengo que reconocer que son bastante grandes. A ella le gusta la masa delgada y un poquito dura, así que estaban bastante cerca de su pizza ideal. A mí, en cambio, me gustan las masas gruesas y blanditas, así que aquí tenemos opiniones completamente diferentes. También encontré la salsa demasiado especiada para mi gusto. Yo soy más de una salsa sencilla, con ese toque agridulce que me encanta.
La limonada brasileña fue otra historia. La primera que probé allí me había encantado, sobre todo porque tenía bastante leche condensada y era muy cremosa. Esta vez, sin embargo, estaba demasiado aguada y con mucho menos sabor. Quizás fue simplemente cuestión de ese día, porque ya había tenido una experiencia mucho mejor con ella.
Y como si no fuera suficiente con probar cosas nuevas, esta vez mi amiga también consiguió convencerme de hacerme una foto en el hermoso columpio que decora el lugar. No estoy del todo convencida de que la foto me guste, pero decidí compartirla de todas formas. Al final, también de eso se trata este blog: de guardar pequeños momentos, incluso esos en los que una no está completamente segura de salir bien en la foto.
Otra visita, otra merienda y otra tarde compartida con mi amiga.

My visits to El Fajardo Café Bar with Yessica are slowly becoming a little tradition. Since it is so close to our workplace, it is one of those places we can escape to every now and then. We also have the option of paying by bank transfer instead of cash. It may sound like a small detail, but in Cuba, having access to cash is not always easy, so this option makes a difference for us.
Within our possibilities, we always try to order something different and delicious. This time, we decided to give the pizzas another chance and pair them with a Brazilian lemonade.
The time when we can usually go is not exactly the best because the sun and heat in Holguín can be terrible at those hours. But El Fajardo has something that makes up for it: the place is beautiful and pleasant, and the service has always been very good.
When the pizzas arrived, Yessica loved them. And I have to admit, they are quite large. She likes thin and slightly firm crusts, so they were pretty close to her ideal pizza. I, on the other hand, prefer thick and soft crusts, so we definitely have completely different opinions here. I also found the sauce a little too heavily seasoned for my taste. I prefer a simple sauce with that sweet-and-sour touch that I love.
The Brazilian lemonade was another story. The first one I tried there was delicious, especially because it had plenty of condensed milk and was very creamy. This time, though, it was too watery and had much less flavor. Maybe it was simply an off day, because I had a much better experience with it the first time.
And as if trying new things wasn't enough, this time my friend also convinced me to take a picture on the beautiful swing that decorates the place. I'm not completely convinced that I like the picture, but I decided to share it anyway. After all, that's also what this blog is about: keeping little memories, even those moments when you're not entirely sure you look good in the picture.
Another visit, another snack, and another afternoon shared with my friend.
