Sobrepensar, crear y confiar [ESP-ENG]

Hola, ¿cómo están, comunidad de Holos Lotus? 👋

Here you can read the English version.

Hello, how are you, Holos Lotus community? 👋

Today I want to create a post about the topic of overthinking—as a personal reflection and, in part, to share my thoughts here with the community.

When it comes to this topic, it often happens that I feel indecisive about what to do in my day-to-day life. Sometimes, when I find it difficult to carry out an activity or when I don't do it and let it pass, I start overthinking it way too much.

It also happens to me when I want to practice an activity I enjoy for a longer period. For instance, if I plan to go to the gym in the morning and end up missing it, I feel an even stronger urge to do that activity in the evening instead.

In the past, I used to struggle a lot with giving in-person talks or, as many would say, going up in front of a class to explain a topic. I found it tough and overthought it constantly.

Once I was up front, I would worry endlessly about how people were reacting: whether they were on their phones, paying attention, or if everything was going exactly as I had imagined.

However, one lesson I've learned is that you can be thoroughly prepared, extremely enthusiastic about the topic, and give it your all, but you simply cannot control how others react.

Now, it occurs to me that all I can do is deliver my presentation, learn to manage my nerves, and express myself clearly. If I overthought it before, I now know how to navigate it.

So, I look forward to the universe sending more opportunities my way to share on different topics. I had a few in the past, but now it's time to keep waiting for new ones while continuing to learn.

There are also times when I catch myself dwelling on goals that haven't materialized yet or personal milestones I want to achieve. This sometimes brings distress or makes me feel unfulfilled.

That is why I try to be patient with myself, anchor my thoughts back in the present, and remember all the good things that have happened. Naturally, my family has been a huge support in helping me maintain that perspective.

When it comes to overthinking, I want to keep improving. In the meantime, I make sure to stay active daily: writing blog posts here, moving forward with my projects, connecting with good friends, and keeping my optimism and faith intact.

It made me wonder: why do I look for answers in something that doesn't even exist yet? I believe my mind should focus more on what I can do right now to transform my present days, rather than obsessing over future achievements.

At the same time, I think it's healthy to visualize dreams. For example, working at a startup or company, building an entrepreneurial project, seeing my blogs gain recognition, translating my writing skills into a book or corporate project, or perhaps traveling to a new country.

Yes, these are goals, but I am also open to welcoming new objectives that my mind doesn't even know destiny has prepared for me yet.

All that's left is to build, wait, work hard, and rest when needed.

Personally, overthinking and imagining scenarios that haven't happened yet can be counterproductive. Yet, I feel that feeling a bit of discomfort occasionally fuels me to take action toward what I want.

Still, I don't want to steal joy from my present day by worrying about what I haven't reached yet. I strive to balance my thoughts and desires so I can stay at peace with myself.

Ultimately, I feel the problem isn't thinking itself; it's getting stuck in thought without taking action—that is where I need to work on myself.
