Hello, how are you, Scrooble Life community? Today I want to talk to you about a movie that I really like and that makes me laugh every time I watch it, especially because it stars one of my favorite actors, Jim Carrey. Well, here we go!

Let's get to know Carl's life. He works at a bank and has felt bored every day because he always does the same thing, or rather, because he has a monotonous life.
But I think that, in part, this is because he does not open himself up to new experiences and also because he is a person who, whenever an opportunity comes his way in life, responds with a "no." Imagine all the opportunities he could be missing by always doing the same thing.

He misses out on many new lessons and learning experiences because he does not leave his comfort zone or allow life to surprise him. But this is where we are going to learn more about the protagonist.
Carl attends a seminar where a friend introduced him to someone. He saw that this person seemed to have a different life, or perhaps he wanted to have what this person had accomplished.

His friend told him about the event, and he decided to attend. The workshop consisted of having to say yes to almost everything. Imagine this: how was his life going to change after having let so many opportunities pass him by? Now, he would have to say yes to every new challenge. In the movie, how challenging would that be! And, well, it makes me laugh a lot.

Here, the protagonist is not sure about following the program because, besides having a routine, he already has something he is accustomed to. However, he still wants a change because he works at a bank, and it seems that his life is becoming boring.
So, that is when he decides to listen to his friend and see how he can become part of this new experience, even if it means abandoning some of his old habits.

Carl starts saying yes to things that he would normally say no to. He starts saying yes to learning guitar, jumping out of an airplane with a parachute, helping strangers, and many new experiences, I would say.
Even though this allows him to live new experiences, over time he also begins to lose the ability to say no or choose what is best for him.

During this journey of saying yes to everything, Carl meets a very interesting girl. Over time, he starts to like her, but the relationship is also affected because Carl says yes to everything, and that might seem strange to the girl as well. When she discovers that his responses of saying yes to everything were partly because of a program, she starts to think that he was actually forced to say yes.

After seeing that saying yes would bring him many good rewards, such as learning Chinese, or at least the basics, meeting new people, meeting the girl he might have been waiting for, in short, a lot of new experiences that he would not have lived if he had never been open to trying new things.
Saying yes brought him rewards, but it also brought him an imbalance because he was perhaps doing activities out of obligation or was unable to manage his time properly. He may have had a lot of new experiences, but a person's time is limited.
He cannot experience them all, and he may lose sight of what he really wants in life. That is why part of the movie is also about regaining the power to choose, to say no.

Over time, after facing the consequences of saying yes to everything, Carl reflects and tries to regain his ability to make decisions. Of course, now he has learned a lot in his life: he knows how to live new experiences, but he also knows how to think carefully about his decisions.

Lessons from the Movie:
Hello, and here are the lessons the movie left me with: as we can see, the protagonist practically said no to everything. He had a monotonous life and perhaps he was bored with what he was experiencing or with his work life. Maybe it was because he needed new experiences. He did not like communicating with people or building relationships.
But in the movie, we can see how he discovers a workshop that was basically about having to say yes to everything. And now, every opportunity that came his way, he had to say yes. So, even though he received good rewards, there were many people who took advantage of him.
And also, if we go through life saying yes to everyone, then we run the risk of not doing the things we really like or the things we want to accomplish toward a goal. Because whenever a person has a plan, saying yes to them can distract us from what we really want.
Another lesson for me is that we all have limited time, and saying yes can cause that time to be taken up by someone else.
But he also meets a very extraordinary girl, and perhaps the relationship does not go completely well because he also had to say yes to the girl. Then, over time, we can see that he does not know whether he really liked what he was doing with her.
And then, this makes me think about how we can choose our goals, how we can look at new projects and new actions, how we can choose them, and also have the ability to know and make the right decisions according to what we want to achieve.

Vamos a conocer la vida de Carl. Tiene una vida en un banco y se ha sentido aburrido cada día porque siempre realiza lo mismo o, más bien, porque tiene una vida monótona.
Pero creo que, en parte, esto se debe a que no se abre a nuevas experiencias y también a que es una persona que, ante cada oportunidad que se le presenta en la vida, responde con un “no”. Imagínense todas las oportunidades que podría estar perdiendo por estar siempre haciendo lo mismo.

Él deja pasar muchas nuevas lecciones o aprendizajes por no salir de su zona de confort o por no permitirle a la vida que lo sorprenda. Pero es aquí donde vamos a conocer más sobre el protagonista.

Y, pues, me da mucha risa.

Aquí el protagonista no está seguro de seguir el programa porque, además, esta persona ya tiene una rutina de vida, tiene algo a lo que ya se ha acostumbrado, pero igual él quería un cambio porque trabajaba en un banco y pareciera que su vida se estaba convirtiendo en aburrida.
Entonces, es ahí donde decidió escuchar a su amigo y ver cómo podía ser parte de eso nuevo, a pesar de que lo hiciera abandonar costumbres.

Carl empieza a decir que sí a cosas que normalmente diría que no. Empieza a decir que sí a aprender guitarra, a tirarse de un avión en paracaídas, a ayudar a desconocidos y a muchas nuevas experiencias, diría yo.
