Hello, Sketchbook community! 👋🎨💙
Today I’m sharing another digital illustration created by me using Adobe Illustrator! 🖥️✨✏️
For this artwork, I wanted to create something cute, peaceful and full of emotion. 🥰💙 The main character is an anime-style girl with long blue hair, beautiful expressive eyes and a small adorable companion that she holds in her arms. 🧸🩵
I was inspired by the idea of capturing a simple and innocent moment of affection — that feeling of holding something you love and feeling completely comfortable in that little moment. 💕✨
🎨 The Illustrator Process
For the construction of the character, I worked primarily with vector shapes, Bézier curves and clean line art to achieve the precise contours typical of digital anime illustration. ✒️📐
The hair was one of the most interesting elements to work on. I used different shades of blue and cyan to create a sense of volume and depth while maintaining a stylized vector aesthetic. 💙🩵✨
I also worked carefully on the eyes, using multiple tonal areas and highlights to create that characteristic anime look. 👀✨ The reflections in the eyes help give the character a more expressive and lively appearance.
The clothing was built using layered vector shapes, with separate elements for the collar, sleeves, skirt and shoes. This allowed me to maintain good control over the composition and make precise adjustments during the illustration process. 👗🖌️
For the little companion 🧸💙, I used simple organic shapes and soft colors to contrast with the darker blue tones of the character. This creates a nice visual balance between both subjects.
The background was intentionally kept minimal, using a blue monochromatic palette. 🎨💙 This helps maintain the focus on the character while reinforcing the calm atmosphere of the composition.
And of course, the little white hearts around her add that final touch of sweetness. 🤍💗✨
💭 What inspired me?
Sometimes an illustration doesn't need a complicated story to communicate something. ❤️
With this piece, I wanted to transmit comfort, tenderness and companionship. 🫂🧸💙
That little character in her arms represents those small things that can make us feel safe and happy, even during difficult moments. Sometimes all we need is a little company. ✨🌙
I really enjoyed experimenting with the color palette, vector construction, facial expression and character proportions in this piece. 🎨✏️💻

Para esta obra quería crear algo tierno, tranquilo y lleno de emoción. 🥰💙 La protagonista es una chica con estilo anime, cabello azul largo, unos ojos muy expresivos y un pequeño compañero adorable que sostiene entre sus brazos. 🧸🩵
Me inspiré en la idea de representar un momento sencillo e inocente de cariño, esa sensación de abrazar algo que queremos y sentirnos completamente cómodos en ese pequeño instante. 💕✨
🎨 El proceso en Illustrator
Para construir el personaje trabajé principalmente con formas vectoriales, curvas Bézier y line art limpio, buscando conseguir los contornos precisos característicos de una ilustración anime digital. ✒️📐
El cabello fue uno de los elementos que más disfruté trabajar. Utilicé diferentes tonalidades de azul y cian para generar sensación de volumen y profundidad, manteniendo al mismo tiempo una estética vectorial estilizada. 💙🩵✨
También trabajé cuidadosamente los ojos, utilizando diferentes zonas de color y reflejos para conseguir esa mirada característica del anime. 👀✨ Los brillos ayudan a darle mucha más expresividad y vida al personaje.
La ropa fue construida mediante capas de formas vectoriales, separando elementos como el cuello, las mangas, la falda y los zapatos. Esto me permitió tener un mayor control sobre la composición y realizar ajustes con precisión durante el proceso. 👗🖌️
Para el pequeño compañero 🧸💙 utilicé formas orgánicas y colores suaves para crear un contraste con los tonos azules más oscuros de la protagonista. De esta manera se consigue un buen equilibrio visual entre ambos personajes.
El fondo lo mantuve deliberadamente sencillo, utilizando una paleta monocromática azul. 🎨💙 Así logro que toda la atención permanezca sobre el personaje y, al mismo tiempo, refuerzo la sensación de tranquilidad de la escena.
Y, por supuesto, los pequeños corazones blancos alrededor de ella aportan ese último toque de ternura. 🤍💗✨
💭 ¿Qué me inspiró?
A veces una ilustración no necesita una historia complicada para transmitir algo. ❤️
Con este diseño quería transmitir comodidad, ternura y compañía. 🫂🧸💙
Ese pequeño personaje que ella sostiene representa esas pequeñas cosas que pueden hacernos sentir seguros y felices incluso durante los momentos difíciles. A veces simplemente necesitamos un poco de compañía. ✨🌙
Disfruté muchísimo experimentando con la paleta de colores, la construcción vectorial, la expresión facial y las proporciones del personaje en esta ilustración. 🎨✏️💻
