Trouble On The Trail..

Hi, I'm back with another contribution to Gaming Photography community and this time I'm going to join [Gaming Photography Weekly Contest](https://peakd.com/hive-185676/@gamingphoto/gaming-photography-weekly-contest-191db6d72eccf).

I left Beecher's Hope for Blackwater to get a haircut for John. A rider attacked me on my way whom I tried to have a decent chat with, so I lassoed and dragged him behind my horse until he died. Nearing town at night, I found a wagon with two arrow-riddled victims, confirming the Skinners were terrorizing the trail nearby.

I was at Beecher's Hope and planned to head over to Blackwater for a much-needed haircut. John really did not look like himself with all that overgrown hair, so getting it trimmed was a priority.

I mounted my horse and started riding out onto the main path, hoping I would not run into any Skinners or surprise ambushes along the way.

As I made my way down the trail, I noticed a rider on my way and I called out a friendly greeting to him, but his reaction was immediately hostile. Even though he seemed unnaturally angry for no real reason, I tried to diffuse the situation with a calm response and called out to him a second time.

My persistence only seemed to disturb and irritate him further. Just because I called out to him again, the man suddenly drew his gun and started shooting directly at me.

He managed to land a few hits and took down a lot of my health, forcing me to quickly drink a health tonic to regain my strength before taking action.

Instead of drawing my own gun and shooting him down, I decided to handle him differently. I pulled out my lasso and yanked him straight off his horse. I then spurred my mount into a gallop, dragging his body behind me along the dirt path as a harsh punishment for being so rude and aggressive.

I did not even have to shoot him, but the rough ride killed him anyway. Once I realized he was gone, I released the rope in the middle of the road and kept riding toward my destination.

By the time I got close to Blackwater, pitch darkness had completely settled over the landscape. A wagon came to a sudden halt right in front of me on the trail. I stopped my horse to check on the situation and made a grim discovery.

It was not just the wagon driver who had been killed, but a woman as well. Both of them had been shot with multiple arrows. Seeing their bodies made it clear that the Skinners were actively raiding the area, and I knew I would have to start hunting them down very soon.
